No Interest - Don't Care
I know the NBA wants a Lakers/Celtics finals but at this point, I really don't give a rip about the playoffs. Celtics, ugh. Pistons, ugh. Lakers, ugh. Spurs, ugh.
I have no interest in watching the playoffs any more. Don't care in the least who wins/loses; I don't like any of them.
Unlike last year, I also don't have much interest in the lottery drawing today as our chance of moving anywhere is so slim that it just doesn't rise to the point of interest.
Ah well, next year will come soon enough; after a very long summer and fall of impatiently waiting for next season to start.

Nah, I just don't care at all. I know many consider it heresy but I'd just as soon have the Lakers win another championship as have the Spurs, Celtics or Pistons win another championship.
At least with the Jazz, Hornets and Cavs (the three other teams I thought had a chance of advancing to their conference finals), there would be someone new for whom to root. As it is, I don't care.

Re: No Interest - Don't Care
I like Detroit, still love Sheed. I think this is going to be a great WCF and ECF.
As much as I hate LA, a Lakers-Pistons or Lakers-Celtics will make an entertaining Finals... and much better than a Cavs/Spurs from last year or anything involving the boring Spurs.
My choice would be Detroit taking down the Lakers in Game 7 in LA. That'd be fantastic.

Re: No Interest - Don't Care
But gramps, what about the match ups:
-Wallace and Garnett are about to go at it like they never have before
-is Boston really as good as all the hype
-will KG get his first ring
-will the new age bad boys spoil the party
-will the team of the past decade (SA) finally put two back-to-back championships together
-can the experience of SA shutdown Kobe or can Kobe, playing the best basketball of his career, win MVP of the league, an NBA championship and MVP of the series
I'm guessing I haven't sold you . . . but there are stories here.

I really want to see a Laker\Celtic final.
It will be good for the league.

Re: No Interest - Don't Care
I'm hoping for a Spurs vs. Celtics final.
I'd like to see KG get a ring.
I cant stand the two biggest cry baby's in the league, Kobe & Gasol, so I dont want them to beat San Antonio. Those 2 cry to the officials more than a newborn crys. I'm not a big fan of Manu and his flayling arms / flopping... but I do like Duncan, OSU Brent Barry, Ime, and T.Parker. It would also be cool to see Horry get his 8th ring.

I hear this all the time, and I just don't get it. How can a team with Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili, two of the most exciting players on the planet, be boring? I guess Tim Duncan oozes enough boringness because, you know, he knows how to play basketball, to drown out what little excitement they could generate.

I'm with you here. But how can you like the Pistons if you think the SPURS are boring?

They've proven to not be the biggest ratings grabber in the NBA.. I just don't really enjoy watching the Spurs. They've got great players, first ballot Hall of Famer, but other than winning, the NBA has always been sold for its flash and entertainment from Jordan, Magic, Kobe, LeBron, Bird.
The Spurs have none of that flash or make you go "WOW, did you see that play last night?"
This doesn't mean they're good. They're a great team, dynasty franchise, but just not the most exciting team in the NBA.

Detroit has character, they play with emotion. And I've always been a big Sheed fan. Never a dull moment when he's playing.
They're a fun team to watch, or at least IMO.

Re: No Interest - Don't Care
I mean, it's Donaghy, but I am part of the whole conspiracy theory believer. And like I've stated when the playoffs began, if it's a Lakers/Celtics Finals, I'm boycotting the NBA next year and following NHL.
While Donaghy is probably using his release as a last-ditch effort, he's trying to bring everybody down with him and I applaud him.

I still love Sheed as well! But the Pistons will be playing game 7 at The Palace!
...and either way, the West will not beat the East in the finals!
