Anybody else dislike the Spurs as much as the Lakers?
Watching the game the other night, I found myself thinking that I dislike the Spurs as much or more than the Lakers? I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Lakers beat the Spurs.
Anybody else feel the same way?
Does that make me less of a true Blazer fan?

No. I despise the Lakers and the refs they ride in on. Nice job by the stripes changing the momentum of the game last night, btw. A great performance. Subtle; but eventually effective.

There's no freakin way. No team in the league even comes close to approaching the same hatred I have for the Lakers. I strongly dislike the Spurs, but I'll cheer just as hard for them now as I did in 2003 when they ended the Lakers title run.
The Lakers and their fans are pieces of **** who don't deserve anything good to happen to them ... ever. And any team - whether it be the Spurs, the Celtics, the Jazz, an alien race, or a group of republicans - will draw my applause for beating the Lakers.

What kind of answers did you expect putting this in the Portland forum?

Nope, not even close. I'm not a big Bruce Bowen fan, but I'm waiting for him to Bowen-ize Kobe--you know, step on his face, tweak his knee, something like that.

Yes, it does.
Lakers are and always will be #1 on the hate list for Trail Blazer fans.

I figured most would hate the Lakers more. And I have always HATED the Lakers far more than any other team. But, the last couple of years, every time I see the Spurs I can't stand them.
I am SOOOO sick of seeing Ginobili flop and travel all over the court, it absolutely disgusts me. Duncan and his whinning... Bowen and his cheap shots... GRRRRRRRRRR!

Holy **** dude, take off the hater blinders. Are you freaking serious??? The Word Champ Spurs had a 20pt lead with 18min left in the game and you are going to say the comeback was because of the refs??? Lakers had one more FT than the Spurs. Kobe shot only 4 FT. Your post is a joke.

I totally agree about Manu and Bowen. Manu's flopping and how he bulls his way to the hoop to get a foul pisses me off. I disagree in regards to Duncan. He doesnt complain any more than most guys do. Kobe and Gasol complain far more than Duncan does.

Re: Anybody else dislike the Spurs as much as the Lakers?
The refs might have the toughest job in this series, constantly having to hear all the BS and whining from every Laker and Spur and all the coaches. Two teams that have never fouled anyone in their life, and feel like they get fouled all the time.
With that, I can't bring myself to root for LA. I still feel the Spurs are the underdog even though they've won a bunch of titles. The lesser of two evils though is San Antonio but I really don't want to see a Spurs-Pistons Finals or Spurs-Celtics finals.
It's a lose-lose situation for me.
