He couldn't have known, but it sort of proves that others do smoke in the off season. Of course just because two smoke doesn't mean the whole league does, obviously.

Yawn. Looks like a pot head, acts like a pot head, surpise he really is a pot head!
Lol. Anyone else ever notice how often that's true? :-)

Nice, they found a joint of weed inside his pack of cigarettes. The idiot smokes tobacco too. I predict a very short nba career for Mr. Noah. I am astounded by his stupidity.

How short, and would you like to place a bet?

His game is predicated on hustle and energy. Tobacco reduces the amount of oxygen in your blood and restricts/contracts blood vessels. The two don't go well together.
I'll bet you're a smoker too. In denial of it's hazards. As far as a bet goes, hell yeah, an internet bet that will take years to find the outcome makes a lot of sense.

Not a smoker... maybe bets aren't your strong suit.
Toni Kukoc smoked like a chimney, and he played until he was 37, but that's not the point.
The point is, just because Joakim Noah had cigarettes and a J with him doesn't mean he's a chain smoker or puffing 6 bowls a day... it doesn't mean he isn't able to balance things and still lead a successful professional career.

If you're not a smoker, how do you know anything about the effects of smoking on a person's cardio system? I used to smoke and now have high blood pressure, and heart disease, have had in depth discussions with heart surgeons about tobacco.
Kukoc was a skills player, Noah is a hustle player. Whatever hustle Noah has is going to be reduced from continued tobacco use.

Dornado seems to be able to read... you don't have to experience tobacco's effects as an addict to learn about them.

you're making conclusions about Noah purely based on speculation. The pack of cigs could have just been his cover for his joint and he might not smoke tobacco at all... or he could be someone who smokes a butt on a blue moon occasion like me. I've been averaging about a pack or two a year for the last 20 years and yet am able to keep up (and then some) in aerobic activities with in shape guys half my age. My resting heart rate is about 45-50 beats per minute because I bike, hoop, swim and hike regularly. It is possible to use tobacco and not be an addict.

I'd suggest that being one of the better passing big men in the NBA takes some skill.

Yes, I speculate. I also think OJ killed his wife. This is not a court of law. Don't even try to convince me that smoking is not addictive. It's possible, but is it probable?
I watched Noah when Florida made their first NCAA title run. Noah was everywhere on the court playing defense. The scouts were raving about what a motor he had. There were even rumors about the blazers trying to convince him to come out and enter the draft so they could take him. During the second Florida title run I kept asking myself where is Noah's motor that I seen the year earlier? Now I know.

good grief. Did I say that smoking isn't addictive??? You're free to believe that martians live among us or whatever crazy crap you want, but it is funny that you'd expect anyone to join you believing tht Noah must be a tobacco addict like you were/are based on such flimsy evidence.

Isn't it horrible that human beings have vices? Maybe Wotan should just strike us all down and start over from scratch. Maybe next time we will all turn out perfect.
Then again, he could take on a real challenge - making us less judgemental.

Ummm yes, your exact words were."It is possible to use tobacco and not be an addict." Sounds like the first stages of addiction. It's called denial.
