OT: Why Minnesota is doomed ...
http://realgm.com/src_wiretap_archiv..._to_take_love/
It's stories like these that give me extreme hope that there will always be some schmuck out there willing to give KP exactly what he wants come draft day.

Use Jack and the 13th to get 8-10, use 8-10 plus Outlaw to get the 3rd pick. Take Bayless or Mayo.

Re: OT: Why Minnesota is doomed ...
I hope they take Love or Lopez. That'll push one of the point guards in the draft closer to our spot.
Maybe Memphis will take a big, too. And then hopefully, the Knicks take Gallinari because of the D'Antoni connection. Perhaps, KP will move up a little and snatch someone like Gordon. A man can dream, can't he?

Jefferson and Love at the 4-5? Lots of skills but so lacking in length and athleticism defensively it would be kinda disgusting...

Jack and Outlaw are not worth that much, I'm guessing. But I like the premise of your idea.
Pritchard should do a repeat of the 2006 draft, where he snookered Boston for their draft pick and then moved up another spot to get our beloved Brandon. That draft was so awesome.

Re: OT: Why Minnesota is doomed ...
I wonder when Minnesota's owner realizes that Kevin McHale can't manage a team. You'd think a decade's worth of mediocrity would be enough.

Mediocrity is putting it rather nicely. Abysmal failure is closer to the mark.

I agree, and that's why I think he'll fall in the draft. You dont use a lottery pick for a potential back up.

Jefferson posted a standing reach of 9'2 at his pre-draft and has proven to be a pretty adept shot blocker.
I'm looking forward to seeing Love's numbers before really getting out on a limb, but I think I like how these two project as a front court tandem

You're right that he blocks at a decent clip... better than I had thought. He did that, though, primarily at the power forward position. If he has to shift over to the 5, which he would if the Wolves drafted Love, it might be more challenging for him.
Offensively, though? I think they could be a very good match.
It would all be interesting to see, but I wouldn't look forward to it if I were a MN fan

I'm pretty sure he was their center last season... he was certainly their biggest player who got significant minutes and primary low post threat
