You might be correct, it has been a while. But I do remember reading many articles that claimed MJ was going to be an all-star, but nobody claimed he'd turn out the way he did. Ed, what about 2-time all-star Pax and Clyde? What about the big men leading their teams to titles?

Perfect stomp

Travis is YOUNG and has grown every year! Tell me why you would not want to keep that or give up on that. He has done good and improving and that I feel is the best thing to get from players His Age which is young. He is a my favorite blazer hands down...I know hes not the best blazer but my personal fan favorite and I think that my view is held by many people. Not only that but it seems parts of the blazers big 3 want him back bad too. I am confident that he has done everything kp and the organization asked of him. I am also confident that the organization is happy with his growth.

-cheers

Being much kinder then you with your broad chastising of fans who are excited about Travis, I'll just call your comparison not very well thought out.

well I'm not a nay sayer, but it largely depends on his ability to improve his ball skills. Size wise he's a 3 and for him to maximize his career he needs to improve his dribbling and passing so as to give himself more attack options then just pulling up. I'm sure that he realizes this and has focused his offseason workouts on this. His ball handling and general coordination have improved quite a bit in recent years... heres hoping that he's still early on the improvement curve.

Regardless of how much he improves his skills, I doubt that Portland is the spot where he could achieve his maximum statistics as they'll have too many offensive options for him to have the gaudy numbers in Red and Black he might have elsewhere. IF he becomes Portland's main guy at SF down the line, I could see him averaging 16 PPG, 7 boards and 1+ blocks and steals. Better ball handling would bump his FTs and assists. I think he could be a 20+ point scorer elsewhere.
