Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
Quote:
|
Dwyane Wade says he keeps hearing his name mentioned in trade rumors involving the Bulls and Miami Heat. Would the Bulls give up the No. 1 draft position to the Heat in exchange for Wade and the No. 2 overall selection?
|
That's got to be the stupidest rumor in history. The Bulls would make that trade in a New York minute, but the Heat would be crazy to do it. Now, some other scenario might work, but definitely not that one.

Yeah that would pretty much put the Heat back at square one ... They'd likely draft Rose and he'd be passing the ball to whom exactly?

The #1 for Wade and the #2? Setting aside how the salaries would match up, the Bulls would be SILLY not to make that deal. Adding Wade and Beasley would be ridiculous...

Re: Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
On the other hand if the Bulls were to throw somebody like Deng, Gordon and/or maybe Thomas into the mix in order to get Wade and the #2 then I think that might be a little bit more palatable and fair ... but the salaries would still need to be worked out.

Re: Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
There is a thread about that at the general NBA forum area and from what I gather, the person who started this rumor is a bonehead.
If, and I mean IF, there was anything to this, it would be Wade for the first and a bad contract without the 2nd coming back. That would be sort of fair, but still I doubt that the Heat would trade Wade.

Well Wade is a great player IF he stays healthy. That's the crust of the problem isn't it?

I suppose so. But Wade have been injured on and off. Riley is very cognizant of this fact. Wade's playing style is reckless and his tire treads is wearing thin. In the last two years, Wade only played in 102 games total. He has never completed a full season playing all 82 games. Perhaps Riley and the Heat want to start over? Who knows. There might be something to the rumor is all I am saying.

Re: Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
I think MIA would be stupid to trade Wade...
However...I could see Wade for the # 1...but no way MIA would nclude the #2 as part of a deal...that would be beyond stupid...
hmm...MIA trades Wade to CHI for the #1 and filler...then takes Rose #1...and Mayo #2...It is feasible if MIA wants to start over...and there have been questions regardign Wade's health and desire to play....

Re: Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
Why was Miami so bad this season? Who can explain it to me? They had Shaq and Wade on the floor and simply could not win games. It was crazy. There were some preseason magazines that had them winning their division. How did they end up being sooo bad? Why couldn't Wade make a difference? They couldn't have played worse if Wade didn't play at all. Maybe that's why they're considering trading him.

Re: Bulls to trade #1 pick for Wade?
Bulls should throw in a solid player and offer up that player with the #1 for Wade. Miami could then rebuild with a core of Rose and Beasley.
