I wish he would have measured at the pre-draft, but I do like his skillset

Re: what do you guys think of Chase Budinger for #13...
What is he? A small forward? There are better likely available, and I have never heard that he's a good defender or ball-handler, both of which I want if we take a swingman. How is he an improvement on Webster? I would much rather have the younger, bigger, more talented Batum, who has the added bonus that we wouldn't have to make room for him this year. Not to flog a dead horse or anything.
In fact, I'd rather have Brandon Rush. I'm not sure about any of Arizona's players this year, given how they underachieved. Budinger screams Judd Bueschler (sp?) to me.

Any player could "maybe" help the Blazers out.
Not a good defender and to many questions surrounding how his game will transfer to the NBA, so I'll pass... especially at pick #13.

From what I've read I'm kinda "meh" on him.

Re: what do you guys think of Chase Budinger for #13...
I was high on him if he came out last year. There are questions if he can create on his own, but he is an ATHLETE. Don't let skin color or the hair fool ya, this guy was an All-American volleyball player too and he can jump.
But yeah, we have a more pressing need at PG. If we take a swingman like him or Alexander, you have to think we might be done with Webster/James/Outlaw (one of the three).

He has looked very sub par at UA since being a McD's AA out of high school. He needs to be a 4 yr guy, because he can't even lead UA to a tourney win.

I don't know if he's big enough to play the 3, but I think he's got much better ball skills (passing, dribbling) then Webster. He always impressed me as a smart player.
I suspect he's more of a 2 guard sizewise.

He is pretty cool. I don't think he is what we need at the SF, as, imo, his skill set is covered by our SFs (Webster, Jones, Outlaw).
Dang, i'm so lost right now as to what KP is gonna pull this draft.

Budinger? All I've read this year is that he's got a questionable level of desire ... I'll pass.

Re: what do you guys think of Chase Budinger for #13...
I'm an Arizona fan. As such, Budinger doesn't strike me as similar to Jud Buechler although both are also volleyball players. Buechler was the 11th pick in the second round and managed to stay in the league 11 years despite having a career scoring average of 3.3 points per game. He did it based on hustle and doing the little things which in my opinion do not jump out as characteristics associated with Budinger. I think the more apt Arizona comparison is Michael Dickerson who averaged 15.4 points per game for his career which something I think Budinger could excel at in the league, namely scoring.
