Blazers NBA Draft 2008 Survivor: Round 2

Second round. Jordan is eliminated in round 1 and I removed "Other" because it wasn't clear what role that played.

Vote for the option that you least want the Blazers to end up with with their first pick of the draft. Assume no trades involving current Blazers players at the time of the selection, and the only players available are the ones listed (so everyone is available in the first round).

I've set the poll to expire after 24 hours, and I'll run another one tomorrow. The poll is public.

So make your vote and your case why that option would do the Blazers the least good.

I hope this will be fun.

Re: Blazers NBA Draft 2008 Survivor: Round 2

While I think Augustin has a chance to become a good NBA player, I worry about his defense at the NBA level and hate the idea of the Blazers being at a constant disadvantage in that regard.

Re: Blazers NBA Draft 2008 Survivor: Round 2

I again voted for Kevin Love.

Love is undersized to play in the NBA, and I don't think he fits any need the Blazers have.

Re: Blazers NBA Draft 2008 Survivor: Round 2

I voted for (or against, I guess) Danilo Gallinari because the Blazers don't need another small forward who isn't an obvious upgrade. Travis Outlaw is a better athlete and better defender than Gallinari, I'm willing to bet, and James Jones is almost certainly a better shooter and better all-around NBA player.

Re: Blazers NBA Draft 2008 Survivor: Round 2

I voted Brook Lopez....Out of all of the players listed Lopez IMO is the most unecessary, with Oden, Pryzbilla and Aldridge....

I'd rather take a chance on a guy like Alexander, Gallinari or certainly Randolph, before I would want to see POR pickup Lopez....
