Where is Jason Quick?
I know most people here can't stand the guy, but I always thought he was a really reliable source of info this time of year. Is he on vacation or something?

Re: Where is Jason Quick?
I never really had any problem with Quick's reporting. I imagine if anything the wear and tear of following the team during the dark days took a toll on him, and maybe he's just gotten tired of constantly being on the road during the regular season.

Re: Where is Jason Quick?
I still think Quick is better than Joe Freeman, but there's so many more news options than Oregonian these days. I'll take Jaynes at the Tribune and Hendrickson at the Columbian over any of the reporters at the Boregonian these days.

Re: Where is Jason Quick?
I agree that I've mostly enjoyed him and that he's easily been my favorite of the Oregonian crew. I hope he's doing well.

Jaynes is an Oregonian Reject. Back during the Clyde era we'd be winning
50+ every season, and still, half his articles were bit Ching.
He also gave us a LOT LESS inside information than Quick does.

To Dwight Jaynes: In the immortal words of Jackie Moon "Suck one"
that guy is a know-nothing, d-bag, with nothing to say 90% of the time.

Ya it all depended on how much he had been drinking that night.

Re: Where is Jason Quick?
I'm pretty sure I heard on Primetime or some other show that he was taking a multi-month sabattical. Don't quote me on it though...

Agreed. At his best, Jaynes was better than Canzano - but that is an awfully low hurdle to clear! OTOH, I do think Kerry Eggers is far better than anyone currently at the Goryonion.
