Great pick. If he's healthy, this is a tremendous steal. Athletic, good rebounder. He wants to win. I love this kid.

Re: Blazers select Arthur with the 27
I love the pick. Hope his kidney issue is a non-issue.
ASSUMING he's healthy... man, that's a lot of talent for a late pick.
Tomic at 33... ?

LOVE IT!!! but wouldnt be surprised if we trade it, unless KP never figured he'd be available at 27.

I hate you Blazers. You steal talent from every draft is ways that make me scratch my head. You guys are definitely built for the future. My goodness.

BPA right there. Good pick. Man, we're getting guys who were disappointed with how they fell. Hopefully, they'll take out their frustrations on other teams in the future.

My guess is that is exactly what happened. KP did not expect a lotto talent to slip to 27. This kid is a friggen beast with a sweet little turnaround.

Re: Blazers select Arthur with the 27
I really, really like this pick. It tells me that Pritchard realized there was little to lose by picking Arthur at #27, and potentially much to gain. In short, he took a risk and I think it was a good one.
And of course I like it for sentimental reasons.

Re: Blazers select Arthur with the 27
Great great value for the pick. Amazing. Had it not been for the kidney issue (which is a bit controversial, it seems), he could have gone in the lottery.
It's an exceptionally good risk to take. It's not a disaster if he can't contribute and it strengthens the team even more if he pans out and is healthy. I just love that Pritchard was the GM to take the chance.
Bayless, Diogu and Arthur is an amazing return. This is absolutely an A+ draft. The third one in a row. Talk about building a team at super-speed.
