Re: OT: Mayo for Miller/Love
Previous Wolves' draft day deals:
- Wolves traded Ray Allen for Stephon Marbury
- Wolves traded Brandon Roy for Randy Foye
Hard not to think that the guy they want will be the worse player in the deal, yet again.

Why wouldn't he fit with Conley? One is a point guard, one is a shooting guard.

Re: OT: Mayo for Miller/Love
Kind of a "good with the bad" deal for both teams.
If you like Kevin Love, then it's a really good deal for Minnesota. If you don't, then you have to hope that Mike Miller starts playing like he did a few years back.
From Memphis' perspective, you like landing OJ Mayo, so you can have Conley and Mayo as a dynamic young PG rotation. Losing Cardinal was nothing, but by jettisoning Mike Miller, they're losing one of their few veterans who have been to the playoffs.
Neither team is going to get a whole lot better because of this trade, unless Love or Mayo is a whole lot better than I think they are.

Wolves are stupid. Kevin McHale.. wth is he thinking. Love and Jefferson will NOT work on the front line. Both play PF, and neither can play SF or C.
I'd be pretty mad if I were a Wolves fan.

Re: OT: Mayo for Miller/Love
Pritchard needs to swoop in and take Mayo away from Memphis.
The Gasol trade was a travesty, but I have to say...Mayo and Gay is a dynamite tandem.

Re: OT: Mayo for Miller/Love
McHale is totally drafting by need, not BPA. I see the attraction for the Wolves but history usually proves that it's a mistake. Still, not a bad lineup, even though their front line is going to take a beating from ours for a long time.
Foye
???
Miller
Love
Jefferson

maybe i'm underestimating their guys... but i don't think so... but that team looks absolutely atrocious defensively. watching love and jefferson try to stop oden and aldridge is going to be pure comedy. i predict league's highest PPG allowed right now.
how in the world does kevin mchale still have his job?

I'm glad I'm not a Wolves fan.
Seems like when the entire draft was done, everyone left the war room except McHale. He called up Memphis and thought this would be great, did it behind everyone's backs.
