Wally is on Cleavland.... I would say he is their second best player overall. LeBron doesn't have much on that team to help them with the scoring load. I don't think they would pull that deal for so little.

He wouldn't be so bad here, but I don't think his contract is worth his play.

Because he's an expiring just like Raef and will probably be more useful than Sergio and Raef.

Trade Sergio with Rudy on his way here... While I think Sergio has had enough chances to show what he can really do (not much), I dont think getting rid of him is the best thing the Blazers can do right now

maybe outlaw or webster instead of sergio to make it fairer for cleveland.

the numbers wouldnt match with raef, webster or outlaw, wally isnt that good anymore but i would give them a 2nd rounder or two as well and cash.

I'd rather just have the cap space when LaFrentz's contract expires. Even the very small chance that Portland can land a premier free agent with that cap space is worth a lot more to me than the very overpaid mediocrity of Sczerbiak.

We need to keep Sergio on the roster this year to help Rudy get adjusted to Portland. If Sergio isn't staying late after practice doing the extra practice others do, Rudy will see that with his own eyes. He'll be far more understanding when Sergio is dealt next summer.

I think once Rudy signs it won't matter. Sergio may be a buddy, but the quality and character of our locker room is simply fantastic. I don't know how you can't have fun being a young member of the up and coming best team in the NBA. Everyone is about the same age and I'm sure they have a blast.

Well, for one thing, they don't speak Spanish. Sergio does.

If you're the one guy in the locker not having fun while everyone else is because you don't understand most if what everyone else is saying, it can make the isolation even worse.

Sergio doesn't have enough value for a trade for it to be worth the bother with moving him anyway. It's too easy to just leave the situation alone until next summer and deal with it then.

spanish speaking people arent hard to find in portland, and wally is expiring 13mil reaf and sergio iirc are close to that so that frees up a place for Petteri!

I agree that Sczerbiak is probably still more useful on the court than the combination of Rodriguez and LaFrentz, but he'd be grumpy without minutes and do you really want him taking minutes from guys like Fernandez, Webster, Outlaw, or even Batum for that matter?

If the team were on the cusp of a championship, maybe, but under these circumstances I'd say no.
