OT: Zach Randolph

I'm going to say its OT because we are not invloved in it in any way but this is from ESPN insider...

Quote:
Zach Randolph -- who has three years and a whopping $48 million left -- has attracted some inquiries, according to the person, who said the team isn't likely to be active in the trade market until the free-agent negotiating period ends July 9. -- Newsday
Who are these teams calling about Zbo? Any ideas?

Any team that needs low-post scoring, would be my guess.

Philly and Sacramento come to mind.

They have Reggie Evans and Mikki Moore respectively as their PF's.

I'm sure fans of both teams will make a mad dash to this post to claim that there's no way their GM would do that, but come on...people are always willing to take a chance on talent.

Philly
Cleveland

Those are the two that really come to mind

Cleveland especially because they need to add some talent for Lebron

Re: OT: Zach Randolph

Really he would be a pretty good fit for any of those teams. The NY deal was just destined for failure.

What would his trade value be now? What will these teams have to give to get him?

Re: OT: Zach Randolph

Chicago, too, perhaps. They need inside scoring badly.

A Hinrich-for-Randolph deal might make a lot of sense for both teams, since Chicago drafted Rose. Though, I guess if New York is really trying to clear the decks for LeBron James, they won't want Hinrich's salary.

Re: OT: Zach Randolph

A good deal for bot CLE/NY would be Zach for Wallace, straight up. The contracts are very close money wise this year. NY gets to shed Zach's three yers for Ben's teo years. Cleveland gets the far better player and low post scorer and rebounder they need. I think Lebron could get through to him, on the court that is.

I thought it was NJ that LeBron wanted to play for?

He supposedly wants to be in New York. Knicks are there, Nets are trying to move to Brooklyn. Both teams think they have a chance to sign him if they have the cap room.
