I keep hearing how the Blazers want to add a SF...
but they also want Outlaw to start at SF next season. I only question his ball handleing to play outside on the wing like that. What about Webster? I have a feeling there is one more trade to be had and he's involved. I like Josh Childress alot while Josh Smith is rumored to be on his way to Philly. The other player I really like and would fit in great although the price might be to high is Andres Nocioni. I really like his toughness that he brings. Probably a pipe dream though.

Re: I keep hearing how the Blazers want to add a SF...
Prince would be my first choice, followed closely by J-Chill. Neither are great scorers, but they are super efficient, have great b-ball IQ, and play stellar defense, something this team is sorely lacking at the 3.
Alas, I'm not really sure what this team should or could offer atlanta or detroit in a trade that makes sense for both sides. Raef's expiring alone is too rich without taking an additional player back, but I'm fully in support of the "consolidate now" approach versus waiting until the trading deadline, or having to renounce some of our Qaulifying Offer players next summer (assuming we don't extend some of them this season.)
Long term I think a Prince/Batum or Childress/Batum SF rotation makes sense, because the frenchman would have a great (ie. intelligent and skilled) player to practice against to hone his skills and would have a better chance of being able to come along slowly while still getting some PT versus sitting at 3 on the depth chart and probably only getting some burn in the D-League.
EDIT:
Dollar-wise Martell, Sergio, and Travis for Prince works out but unless the blazers were willing to sweeten the pot further (maybe throw in Koponen too?) Dumars would laugh in KP's face if he offered this deal.

Start Webster. Have Outlaw come off of the bench so he can get his shots. See how it works, and if it doesn't look good, trade one of them (maybe with Frye, Ike, or Raef) before the deadline.

Agreed, if they cant become effective role players with this core, this coming season, they probably never will be. I love Webs, so I want to at least give him this season!

Tayshaun Prince would be an excellent addition to this team, although I fear the price would be too high. I'm willing to stick with Outlaw/Webster this year and see how things pan out between them.

Start Martell. Bring Trav off the bench with the 2nd unit for some firepower!

Re: I keep hearing how the Blazers want to add a SF...
I don't care what anybody thinks, I still think we could nab Iggy to play SF and he would compliment the team perfectly with his outside defense and fast break saavy. His team contract negotiations aren't exactly ideal and I doubt he'll want less than JSmith if they give him a lot. I think we could still possibly snatch in with a Blake/Outlaw/Diogu package or even Blake/Outlaw/Pryz. I know we'd be giving up a lot, but we would have more time to develop some of our other guys, instantly be a top 5 defense and fastbreak team with Iggy, and get consolidate further.
Bayless/Rodriguez/Koponen
Roy/Fernandez
Iguodala/Webster/Batum
Aldridge/Frye
Oden/Pryzbilla/Freeland
that is a beautifully balanced roster, and Philly makes out pretty well for what they give up.
my other choices would be:
Deng and Granger (even though he's older and more of a "scorer")

That's "a lot?" for Iguodala? You clearly underestimate how much it would take to get him. Iguodala+Blazers=Pipe dream. Let it go.

we dont want to get Nocioni...why?
well, to put it in the most obvious terms, he sucks. There you go. He is nowhere near the top of the list as far as I am concerned for SF's that we are tracking in the League.
