Re: Who would you miss the least?
In order for me...
1. Diogu- Don't really need him as we already have depth, and we haven't really had a chance to embrace his character like we have Frye.
2. Sergio- Unfortunately, for his sake, Koponen might be a better third string PG.
3. Kopo- I think we can interchange him and Serg...
4. Batum- We don't really know what he means to the future of the team, but he seems years away from contributing. Considering that we're on the brink of breaking onto the scene, we don't really NEED him to develop. He can be a good trading piece.
5. Travis- I don't really see a significant role for him in our future. He might be worth more to other teams than he is to ours because of our depth, and also because of his seemingly inability to fit with our starters. With potentially Rudy, along with Blake, Frye, and Webs (if we bring in a SF as our good player) on the bench, we can easily replace his scoring.
6. Martell- He's gotta lot to prove, and I have a feeling he can be our Raja Bell or Shane Battier in terms of defense and outside shooting. However, if we get a significant upgrade in a SF with experience in return, he won't be as valuable.
7. Joel- Of the remaining players, I think he too will be replaceable as a result of our big man depth. Diogu/Channing can make a formidable PF/C bench duo.
8. Frye- I think this guy fits our culture to a "T." He says he's working on a long distance J, making him even more dangerous on our bench unit.
Those are all the players I'm willing to let go. I'm convinced that we need a consolidating trade, and I think KP will pull the trigger on such a deal by the trade deadline.
If we consider these players' individual values to other teams, I'd probably rank them: Outlaw, Joel, Webster, Channing, Batum, Diogu, Sergio, and Koponen.
