OT: Ward for Harrington ???
What are the pacers thinking if they go for this deal , Al is a stud , The pacers must really need a point guard badly

I agree, and Damon even with his pot problems, is a far better PG than C.Ward. Of course the deal w\NY (or one with POR for that matter) would include taking Croshere and the remaining 4yrs on his LARGE deal back as well. BTW, Damon for Harrington\Croshere works under the cap perfectly. That is a bittter pill to swallow, but if I were POR I would do it, in order to get Harrington.

I would do Croshere + Harrington for Damon without any regard to the bitterness of ANY pill.
Croshere's contract sucks. No doubt. But he is, IMO, still a pretty good player and he could be a valuable member of the bench of a good team.
I find it hard to believe the Pacers would move Harrington unless they get some QUALITY back, but I guess if they really need to trim long-term contracts packaging Harrington with Croshere might be the way to go.

I don't know much about Harrington but I remember Croshere having an awesome year and then Isaiah Thomas came to town and put him on the shelf indefinately.
As I recall he could put it on the floor and drive to the rack as well as shoot.Kind of Nowitzki-like!
I'm not sure if he is overpaid.
I have no idea why they just sht-canned his career.
Does he have health issues or what?
If he's healthy then I'd take him and his contract no problem.
Heck,I'd rather have him as my point guard than Damon.

Damon = $14.625 mill (2 years left)
for
Harrington $5.6 mill (3 years left) and Croshere $7.3 mill (4 years left) = $12.9 mill
works CBA wise...
we even save about $1.7 mill in salary and $3.4 with luxury tax...
send them a 2nd round pick and $1 mill cash.... to add incentive...
have Donnie Walsh call Nash..... hurry
Would Indiana really do this? Does Isiah still love Damon? How about Larry Bird?

I doubt Indiana would do that, but if they did......who would we play at point. We would have to ship either DA or Wells off

Indiana probably wants to get rid of Croshere so that they can resign Brad and Reggie Miller...
I guess they are willing to deal Harrington to do it....
