Hypothetical for Pop - Let's say the Spurs owner walks up to him and says, "we're working on bringing in a better GM/Coach, and if we do, you're likely to be demoted to assistant GM/Coach, and you're going to have to work with him." I seriously doubt Pop would take that piece of news with big grin.

How could Parker not feel at least a little betrayed? The team is trying to bring in a guy to take his job, that he worked hard for, right after he helped lead them to a championship.

As for Parker, sure, he has a right to be upset. I think the idea is that he shoulda kept it to himself, or at least out of the newspapers.

On the other hand, on the scale of NBA transgressions this summer, Parker's rates pretty near the bottom. I predict he'll be forgiven.
