Trade for Brad Miller (link)
http://www.hoopsworld.com/article_4582.shtml
Scroll down to Brad Miller in bold and it suggests a trade for Sabas, etc. I'm totally down... but it is Hoopsworld so who knows.

I hope it's true!
They'd have to fear losing Miller or us signing him outright for them to do it though. If they knew he was gone then maybe they'd take Sabas to clear some cap space and possibly another player.McInnis?

It does not talk about a trade FOR Brad Miller.
It says the Pacers need to move salary so they can RE-SIGN Brad Miller and keep him.
The want to trade for either Sabas or Terell Brandon as both players are essentially expiring deals, which would keep Indy under the lux tax limit.
If Portland traded Sabas to Indy, Portland would want Al Harrington coming back. Indy doesn't want to do that. Indy wants to send Ron Mercer. No deal.
Ideally, from Portland's perspective, they should explore the possiblity of sending Sabas AND Damon to Indy.

I hope you're right about Brad. I think he will do very good for us.

I think Indy just wants cap space so they can resign Brad Miller and stay under the luxury tax limit...
They probably would prefer to deal Croshere + someone for Sabas' contract...

Umm...I don't think you guys can afford Brad Miller. He's been offered $8Mill a year(i think?)...you guys could only offer the MLE, no way you could get him without a sign and trade...

Yeah and the Lakers couldn't afford both Payton and Malone but Malone took an $18 million a year pay cut for the chance to ride some coat tails for a cheap ring.
Maybe Miller wants a change of scenery with the promise of getting paid later?

Hmm, I don't think so...you've got about a 0.00001% chance of getting him for the MLE

I don't know,I hear he's upset that Indiana is dragging their feet about resigning him.
Could be our chance!

I think he wants to stay in Indiana...
If they can't/don't resign him, then he would go to Denver or Utah for a big multi-year deal...

Anyways, i REALLY wanna see Bumtje Bumtje get 15-20 minutes a game next year. He and Ned are our C combo of the future.
