Assuming you don't think Kaleb Canales is the longtem solution, who do you think should be this team's head coach?

Who would you consider the Blazers' core players at this time?

How would you handle the psyche of a team that started the year 7-2, was 13-9 on February 1st, and then limped to the finish line as the 11th seed in the West?

What would you do with the 6th and 11th picks?

What would the ceiling be on offers you would match for Nicolas Batum?

What trades would you make?

How would you address the PG position after the fallout left by Raymond Felton on his way out the door?

Would you consider trading Jamal Crawford if he opts in to his $5 mil salary this season? How would you replace him if he opts out?

How would you approach free agency?

Isn't much you can do after firing the coach.

What would you do with the 6th and 11th picks?

Damian Lillard at 6, unless MKG or Drummond is somehow still there. At 11 I'd take a flyer on Perry Jones.

What would the ceiling be on offers you would match for Nicolas Batum?

A Wesley Matthews type contract.

What trades would you make?

Not much you can do. Only player definitely under contract for next season are Aldridge, Matthews, Elliot Williams, Nolan Smith, and Luke Babbitt. The first two are core players and the latter three aren't exactly valuable commodities. If Crawford opts back in maybe you can deal him and squeeze a draft pick out of somebody.

How would you address the PG position after the fallout left by Raymond Felton on his way out the door?

Lillard's a good pick.

Would you consider trading Jamal Crawford if he opts in to his $5 mil salary this season? How would you replace him if he opts out?

If he opts in, trade him at the deadline to some team that needs shooting. You're not gonna be a good for a bit so it's not imperative that you replace him. Give more minutes to one of those young guns under contract for next year and see what they can do.

How would you approach free agency?

Make a run at Roy Hibbert. Just for grins.

One of the big 6.
Davis(who wont be there)
Drummond/Kidd-Gilchrist/Barnes/Robinson/Beal

Any apart from Beal would be good. Robinson would be second least favourite.
With the 11th pick take someone to complement the 6th pick.
Drummond or Robinson in the 6th then a PG (Lillard or Marshall) or SF(Jones or Ross) with the 11th.
Barnes or Kidd-Gilchrist with the 6th then take Leonard with the 11th. Or Zeller or a PG Lillard/Marshall again.
I think if Beal falls to 6th then its a tough choice.............

Joel Freeland is still far from signing with the Blazers to come over this season.

However, it’s up for debate if Portland will end up being the final destination after all is said and done or if a return in Spain is in the works.

Jamal Crawford will opt out if he isn't traded by draft day.

Minnesota has long coveted Crawford and was close to obtaining him at the trade deadline on March 15. The team is also making a play for former Trail Blazers Brandon Roy and recently acquired Chase Budinger via trade from Houston. At this point, I can't confirm if Roy's decision or Budinger's acquisition would impact Crawford being on their radar.

I would keep my eye on is Boston. They owns picks No. 21 and 22 in Thursday's draft and have a ton of cap space allowing them to be in play however things shape up with Crawford.

I wonder what sort of package the Blazers good get for Crawford.

So Damian Lillard, Meyers Leonard, and Will Barton is a decent haul. They are all fairly skilled offensive players who rebound well for their positions. It remains to be seen if any of the three can defend Yi Jianlian's chair, though.

Blazers will look to other options if Pacers match max deal for Hibbert.

The Blazers have first-rounder Meyers Leonard in the fold, but the max offer to Hibbert could be a sign that he's a few years away from starting in this league. So if Hibbert ultimately ends up back in Indy, and Kaman signs elsewhere, we have to wonder if the Blazers might approach restricted free agents like JaVale McGee and/or Brook Lopez with similarly large offers.

I think the best fit for this team of the three (Hibbert, McGee, and Lopez) to play next to Aldrige is probably McGee.

Acquiring Jared Jeffries, Dan Gadzuric, Kostas Papanikolaou and Georgios Prentezis in the Felton trade just seems like a team trying to fill out roster spots to me.
