Portland - Memphis - NJ - Toronto (the deal that was reportedly almost done)
According to CSMN, a deal was almost done that sent the following principal players to these teams:
Memphis sends Gasol $3.4 mill and ? = ? OUT
Memphis received Kenyon Martin $5.12 mill and ? = ? IN
NJ sends Martin $5.12 mill and Mutumbo $17.9 mill = $23.02 mill OUT
NJ receives Sheed $18 mill and ? = ? IN
Toronto sends AD $12 mil and Mo Peterson $1.6 mil and ? = ? OUT
Toronto got Mutumbo $17.9 mill and ? = ? IN
Portland sends Sheed $18 mil = $18 mill OUT
Portland receives Gasol $3.4 mill, Antonio Davis $12 mill, and Morris Petterson $1.6 mill = $17 mill IN
I did not get all of it, as it was being talked about. Can any of you fill in the missing pieces for us, so we can talk about it?
But I did hear them say, Jerry West DOES NOT want Rasheed Wallace at all!

I think you are short on NJ's side as we are giving up Mutombo and Martin but only getting back Sheed, that doesn't work.

Is this a deal that was almost completed, but is no longer be talked about between the teams, or is it on the table and the teams are discussing it right now?

TRADE ACCEPTED
I would rather see what trade they proposed on courtside, but this is the only one I got approved.

I think Patterson was in it, but NJ reportedly does not want Patterson.
and I think your headed on the right direction. We get Gasol, Battier and AD.
I am trying RealGM now too...
I do not see us taking on 2 big $ contracts in AD and Jerome Williams.... I doubt Nash would not do that!

Just a wee bit favoring Portland
If this trade were to happen, Portland wouldn't be getting Battier. Jerome Williams is a maybe because he has a long term contract that Toronto would want to get rid of.

Well that makes sense, since it seems Jerry West wants a team that's all PGs, SGs and/or reaches in the draft. He's doing a good job accumulating those types of players so far.

Damn, Toronto gets shafted...AD and Williams for Deke ? I guess it's a long-term salary dump.
Just wondering if this deal "was almost done" as in it is nearly completed. Or if it was talked about and now it is no longer on the table...?

I don't think Portland wants AD or Jerome Will. they have big contracts so they would pay the price.
Portland really just wants Gasol and to dump Patterson.
