He's extremely strong, and is much more explosive than I thought...get's good air, and is rather quick off of the ground.

Personally I think he's a mix between May and Brand. He's at least the athlete Sean May is, but has a skill set more comparable to Elton. I really like him as a prospect. Put him on a team with wings that like to run and watch out...his outlet passes are the best I've ever seen.
I actually think May is a very skilled offensive player. Probably more skilled than Brand was coming out. Brand got things done off of brute force early in his career, and has only developed into a legitimate go-to offensive presence within the last 3-4 years.

i agree, it will be interesting to see how things progress there in charlotte, i dont like the latest move of starting knight and felton in the backcourt and i would be playing may over okafor. they better win there or bernie may be the first coach to get his walking papers.

Re: Kevin Love comparison?

Yes, that is killing the whole team. At the very least, if you are going to run those two in the backcourt together, push the tempo a little bit. They play god-awful team defense as it is, and don't rebound either. Morrison and Felton are being wasted right now, IMO.

Re: Kevin Love comparison?

Bernie is not using Morrisons ability of a scorer

He has him just shooting instead of using Morrisons very verastile scoring ability

I mean morrison could have top 5 most verastile offense use bernie

he's getting 30 minutes a game and getting his shots, he'll do fine, i think in general bickerstaff isnt the guy to be coaching this team, a billy donovan or a tom izzo would be ideal, just my opinion.

I wouldn't be hiring a college coach for such a young group of player. They don't seem to translate over well. I'd hire a veteran NBA coach, not a rookie NBA coach. Izzo isn't going to come to the NBA, he's had opportunities in the past. The Hawks in '00 come to mind. Izzo stated clearly he was a college guy. Donovan? No thanks, but he does want to coach in the NBA. If I had to take any college coach it'd be Coach K, Roy Williams or Lute.

I've played against Love in the once two years ago. He won't be that good in college.

Kevin Love's first game of the year:

38 points, 28 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks.

Re: Kevin Love comparison?

So can someone give me an honest answer as to why a 6'9'' kid without an elite back to the basket offensive game and without athletic ability RIGHT NOW is ranked as the #1 prospect in the country by everyone? Ahead of Bayless, Mayo, Gordon, Rose, Beasley, etc.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic and Love supporting either, I'm genuinely curious as to how someone who seems like a player I wouldn't rate very highly can be ranked higher than the amazing players listed above.

I don't want to be unfair to Love, but to someone who has seen them both, why is he even better than Keaton Nankivil who does seem to have a bit of athletic ability and shot blocking presence at 6'9''. Again, not trying to be a homer, I'm just ignorant about the kid.

Re: Kevin Love comparison?

Love is a bit more athletic than one might think. But I think what separates Love from the rest of the pack is his ability to shoot the ball from anywhere, also being he is an outstanding passer. Some people have said he's the best passing big man for his age they have ever seen, specifically outlet passing. He can rebound like no other and actually has pretty good ball handling abilities for a big guy. There is nothing he really can't do and is a throwback player in that he isn't flashy, but is solid in all aspects of his game. He might not be explosively athletic, but he is athletic nonetheless.

Having met Kevin Love, he's arrogant cocky ***, but he is a helluva player and I do give him that.

That being said, I think Kyle Singler is just as good, maybe even better comparative to position.
