What it means is that everyone looks at the scoring ability and says someone like Budinger and Williams should score more, but Arizona has a ton of weapons, so the numbers players put up aren't going to be consistent.

Big difference.

I agree and i also agree with the point that being a 3rd option doesnt change your draft status that much. i would just like to see more before these guys come out. Also was impressed with the Lopez twins today.

Re: Chase Budinger
It seems like the only other 2/3 that could go before him this year would be Bill Walker, and many think that Chase will be a better pro. Are Belinelli, Marcus Williams, Cook, or Fernandez better prospects than him? I would take Chase before all of those guys, and that would include Walker.
He's averaging 17 on a team with many good scorers. Arizona will make the tourney and unless he severely screws up there, I would guess he's pretty much a lock for the lotto if he declares.
Chase wouldn't have a whole lot to prove next year. Radenovic, and possibly Williams, will be gone, but I don't imagine that Bayless will create more shots for him than Shakur. He and Jerryd would be a ridiculous offensive duo in college, though.

He did. His name is Jon Scheyer. Too bad he's a freshman with no experience, hence the reason McRoberts played the position along side him. Come on, you already know all this, HKF.

That's what I thought you meant, but you typed "can't." My bad. By the way, I just looked up Chase's numbers. The kid is averaging over 16 a game, the second highest on his team. He's not being unselfish.

Scheyer is a point guard? Did not know that. Probably because it's not true.

Backup point guard - yes, he is. He's the other shorter white kid that dribbles the ball up the court when Paulus is on the bench, therefore making him the backup. And yes, he was recruited to 1) play the wing and 2) play backup point guard when necessary.

I think he's a little too unselfish but i think that is sort of by design, if you're looking at the pecking order he is really the 4th option after Williams, radenovic and shakur. Scouts know what he can do physically i think what they want to do is find out his killer mentality on the court. Players that stay around awhile seem to develope that better.

Re: Chase Budinger
How about Chase's performance tongit in a huge game.
23 points, 2 assists, 3 boards, 4 steals, 3 threes, while shooting 7-12.

He is amazing. I am completely sold on that team. He can jump out of the gym! So smooth...so cool...and ONLY a freshman. He was unstoppable at times.
