He needs a go to move...he turns right into the defense trying to create fouls...with bigger NBA players this will hurt. That being said he will be a good and productive player in the leauge. Some nights will be better than others. He will get his thru effort if he stays on the floor.

Obama's house purchase has been a source of controversy. In 2006, the Chicago Tribune reported that on the day of the closing, the wife of Obama's longtime friend and fundraiser Antoin "Tony" Rezko closed on an adjoining lot that had been the estate's side yard.
The Obamas bought the house for $300,000 less than the asking price of $1.95 million, while Rezko's wife, Rita, bought the neighboring lot for the full asking price of $625,000. Rita Rezko later sold a portion of the undeveloped lot to the Obamas, enlarging the senator's yard.
Tony Rezko already had been linked to a grand jury investigation involving public corruption. Last month, he was convicted of 16 counts in an influence-peddling scheme that reached the highest levels of Illinois state government.
Somehow manages to get it done no matter what your team needs on college. Probably won't be any good in the pros in large part due to some akward looking post moves. Won't get bailed out with all the free throw attempts once he's out of college. Slightly better version of Ed Najera in the pros?

He wont be only slightly better but the style on the defensive end will be similar. He's got a great touch after contact which is exactly what he's going to need versus the bigger pro's. And he wont draw as many fouls as he does now absolutely, but he will end up on the line enough and hes great from there. He isn't going to be an offensive star but if Glen Davis can get some burn on a team like the Celtics then Tyler can get some PT on a team too.

2nd rate David Lee maybe? (I'm a big david lee fan so that's not meant as a knock)
The touch after contact we're seeing now is largely against smaller opponents. Scoring after contact against smaller players is a lot easier in college and we've seen that time and again when the transition is made haven't we? His post moves are insanely basic and maybe he just needs to be taught more, who knows but I doubt they're not trying to teach him more. I think he just has a very clear ceiling.
I'm sure he'll be fine as a 2nd round pick/role player I just would question if he goes higher than that.

Don't like him. He's not an NBA starter for any respectable team. 7 foot is pretty much what it takes to be a PF in the NBA now; Tyler won't be able to score on those guys, and Tyler for damn sure won't be able to guard those guys. I mean, would you rather have Hansborough or someone like Andray Blatche? I'll take Blatche every time. Hansborough just doesn't have it in him to be that good, and it's not like Blatche is a superstar.
Oh really? Gooden, Randolph, Boozer, Ben Wallace off the top of my head are all starters for NBA teams and all happen to be under 6'10.
If Josh Boone is starting in the NBA I see no reason why Tyler can't help someone's bench. Once again in this present draft, you cannot name 20 players better than him. All this he can't score, he won't score talk doesn't cut it. He works hard on his game. Look, put it this way, if people think Love is going to be successful in the NBA, I don't see why a more athletic Tyler Hansbrough can't

Thats absurd considering the draft as presently drawn up does not have 20 players better than him

Exactly, he is not going to be the cornerstone of a franchise. But he is going to be brought in for his toughness and the work on does on boards. Plus if you need a guy to bang around with others for a few minutes, Tyler is your man.

Funny you mention those guys. Boozer was a 2nd round pick and Ben Wallace wasn't even drafted because of height. I'd love to see Tyler as the Laker's 2nd round pick of this draft
Once again this is a case of being blinded by a guy's numbers. This is the most protected player in all of college basketball. The amount of fouls he's not called for and the amount of times he travels that are not called. It's absolutely ridiculous. He's not gonna be able to bullrush into NBA players and he's going to get his shot packed quite a bit.
