Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Lol you guys will never change. Hansbrough succeeds because somehow he has bribed the refs. No one (well except me of course) ever speaks about opposing teams also get to manhandle him and refs dont call.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Can we really call 6'9 guys undersized at the 4 anymore ? Half of the players starting at power forward in the NBA could be considered undersized.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
I really doubt that he's 6'9. There were moments last night where Terrence Williams was guarding him and they were almost the same height. He's a high energy guy who should be nice at producing hustle plays off the bench, but don't count on him measuring out at taller than 6'6.5.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
^^^ I think he measures out at 6'7.5" ish. He really proved a lot to me last night. He was the difference between UNC winning and losing. I think he could be a halfway decent pro.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Yeah he is probably closer to 6'6 or even 6'7 without shoes, but then again you can say that about a lot of players nowadays.

Yeah, Padgett looked like he had an inch or an inch and a half on TH. Padgett's 6'9'', so I'll give TH 6'7.5'' or 6'8''. He doesn't have the wingspan or athleticism that most NBA guys at that height have.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
He's going to be a good pro and I dont really have much doubt. I dont think he's going to be a perennial All-Star or a teams first option but he is going to be productive and a winner.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Skip Bayless:
"I just talked to an NBA Scout who said that Tyler Hansbrough does not have one physical NBA skill. Not one. The only thing he has is effort."
One would hope that Skip Bayless doesn't need an NBA Scout to verify this for him, he's only on National Television every day holding himself out to be a sports expert, but I'm still glad he said this truth on the air. Even if he's so poor at evaluating talent that he can't notice it himself, or is too much of a ***** to say that he personally doesn't see any skill.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Did you just use Skip Bayless to back up something ? Come on now, this guy is the least credible analyst that ESPN ever had.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
I'm still not buying him as anything more than a 'hustle' forward in the league; 9ppg, 6rpg ceiling in plenty of minutes on a bad-mediocre team. Becoming a legit 3pt threat would be valuable for securing long-term NBA pay, similar to what Najera has been able to do this year. He's more valuable than Madsen, probably the least flattering common comparison, but I'm not sure how much more than Eduardo. He should be a solid bench addition for a very good team toward the bottom of the 1st. | |
