Re: Tyler Hansbrough
^How can you say Hansbrough wont sniff Turiaf's jock strap as a pro player, when Turiaf himself is nothing but a role player?

Turiaf can block shots, set great screens and rebound, and is about a perfect role player you can find. Hansbrough won't be able to do even those at the NBA level. His best bet would to try and become a 3, but I just don't think he has the speed for it. I'd be surprised if he was still in the league after his rookie contract, this isn't just some revelation on my part either, I've been saying it since the hype of his freshman season.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Okay, I'll give you shot blocking. But come on man, set screens and rebound, you really think Hansbrough will have problems with that. No way he plays the 3 by the way, he is strictly a PF. As long as he realizes he wont have the same impact on the NBA level, I think he can fit into a very nice role off the bench

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Once again the difference is size, Hansbrough is 6'8 at best, Turiaf is 6'10. Of course both can give you a ton of energy, but the difference is also that it's easier to have good defensive schemes with a 6'10 guy. No matter how much effort you give on the court, you still won't grow two or three inches.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Turiaf is 6'10? Come on now, you have seen him standing close to Odom and even Radmanovic. Turiaf is definitely 6'8. Turiaf isnt even as tall as Udonis Haslem, who is listed as 6'8

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
He is a legit 6'10, maybe he looks smallish because his body is so wide.

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
So you really think he is taller than Udonis Haslem? BTW same sites that list Turiaf as 6'10, list Hansbrough as 6'9. We all know draft sites and NBA.com can be generous when it comes to height

Re: Tyler Hansbrough
Yeah, most of those heights are usually exaggerated, but I do believe that he is taller than Haslem.

Hansbrough returns
the kid's no fool. he knows he's gonna rot in the pros. might as well take another year of everyone, including officials, drooling all over you.
