Re: Josh Heytvelt
Where is Davis now anyways? I heard he was supposed to be headed to Iowa State but didn't have the marks for it.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
How long are they suspended for? I'm hoping to get a glimpse of Davis.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
Well, ESPN is reporting that Josh Heytvelt is facing felony drug charges for possession of over an ounce of shrooms. I think we can pretty much close this thread.

He's a first time offender. He'll get a plea bargain, most likely get probation and get a ton of community service. He'll be back next year and one slip up and he'll be kicked off the team for good. He's a good guy, just made a stupid mistake, I have empathy for him I was in a similar situation while I was in high school. Its definitely a learning experience and having it scrutinized by the media in a city where Zags basketball is the only thing going on in town certainly isn't a plus on his side.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
Yeah I guess you're right. It's just felony is such a buzz word that when I hear it right away I'm thinking jail time, kicked out of college, and his NBA future ruined. And I can have empathy for him too. The difference between Heytvelt and many kids at some point, myself included, is that he got caught. I think most people have probably committed if not a felony, a serious misdemeanor at some point, Josh was just unlucky.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
Drug laws in this country are completely ridiculous. Hopefully he moves past this. Although I don't condone doing drugs and driving, because you could be impaired, which is a no-no.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
Heytvelt will be back next season. I believe that he is facing a 0-6 month term.....so, first time offender=0 months and community service.
He will be back next season, along with 2 other current starters and the # 11 recruiting class in the country.

Good post, you really have to wonder what is upstairs with some of these guys, if you're going to do it at least stay on campus and dont be getting behind the wheel. I think some of these guys think they're invincible, better wait till you get to the nba to be getting any preferential treatment.

Re: Josh Heytvelt
Got a favorable ruling today, keep his nose clean for a year and his record will be cleared, now we'll see what the big boss(coach Few) has to say. The Jesuits are all about second chances, he'll be back. Lets hope he's learned his lesson.
