Re: Roy Hibbert
Wow has this guy's draft stock taken a beaten or what. Both DE and Nbadraft.net have him going in the 20s. Heres a guy that started the season as a top 5 pick

lol, in Ford's recent "Which early entries made the right call?" article, the categories were 'the right move,' 'the wrong move,' and 'the Roy Hibbert move (should've declared last year).'

Re: Roy Hibbert
I have no idea why he came back. He doesn't have a dominant game, so it's not like he could've raised his stock with crazy numbers, especially in the Princeton offense.
Once Green declared, I would've too.
A team in the 20s is going to get a steal though, no doubt.

draft.net has him currently at 23 to Utah, which actually seems like a solid fit, if he does fall that far. The Jazz need size in the post, and Roy's smart enough to stick with Sloan.

Re: Roy Hibbert
i dont think hell be amazing. i think he will be a solid center though. maybe a 10/10 center with solid defense. not a horrible pick up if he pans out. the league is desperate for serviceable young centers.

Re: Roy Hibbert
Utah doesn't really need another big, because they have Fesenko in the wings. Roy is not going to fall to the 20's. People say what about Javale McGee, but I mean how much can upside really count, when someone doesn't even play the game that well.

Re: Roy Hibbert
I think Roy will surprise a lot of people. As someone else said he has things you can't teach and how often do you see a guy with this many post moves who can pass at that size and block shots? Not to mention that the only decent players atleast his height in the NBA are Shaq, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Andrew Bynum, Dikembe Mutombo and Yao Ming. Besides Shaq, Deke and Z will be retired in a few years anyway.
As someone also said Roy's game really is much more suited for the NBA than college. Hakeem Olajuwon has even said college basketball is tougher for centers because of all the zone defenses.

Are you talking about size, basketball skills or intangibles ? Because he has improved and refined his skills and basketball IQ at Georgetown, John Thompson is an excellent coach.

Re: Roy Hibbert
I think that basketball IQ can be improved but I don't think you can make a dumb player smart. I'm just really excited about seeing him in the NBA. I think he'd be perfect on a team like Chicago.
