Re: **Brooke Lopez sweepstakes**
I think he needs a solid season top become a top 10-15 prospect, not to mention a fantastic season to declare.

What has he done and/or what NBA skills does he have to warrant Top 10 status? Let alone being put on the same plateau as prospects like Rose or Mayo, like you've said in the past...

Stanford forward Brook Lopez won't be entering the NBA draft and will return to the play for the Cardinal next season.

"It is with great excitement and peace of mind that I plan to return to continue my education and be a member of the Stanford team next season," Lopez said. "I greatly enjoy my experience here as both a student and athlete and feel that it is important to continue to focus on maturing as a person, student and player with the assistance of my coaches, the Stanford faculty and my teammates."
According to ESPN.com's Andy Katz, the 7-foot, 240-pound Lopez would have been a likely lottery pick.
Lopez, whose twin brother Robin also plays for the Cardinal, averaged 12.6 points, six rebounds and 1.7 blocks per game for the Cardinal this season. Stanford's season ended with a loss in the first round of the NCAA Tournament to Louisville.

puts NBA draft off
03/169/2007 - Rather than jump at the opportunity to make millions next season in the NBA, Fresno's Brook Lopez said Monday he will return to Stanford for his sophomore year.
He would've been an NBA lottery pick had he declared for the draft.
The 7 footer averaged nearly 13 points; six rebounds and 2 blocks per game this past year.
Stanford's season ended with a loss in the first round of the NCAA tournament to Louisville.

How does he go from a lottery pick, to a late first rounder, in a weaker draft?

Don't answer my questions with questions.

Re: **Brooke Lopez sweepstakes**
7'0 you can't teach size, athletic, can block shot something alot of 7 footer can't seem to do, he had 12 blocks against USC.
can shoot threes

Brook was downright breathtaking with his ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter, knocking down numerous three point shots from beyond the NBA three-point arc. He and LeBron James ran the pick and pop to perfection, with Brook being the recipient of many of LeBron’s assists throughout the scrimmages. He wasn’t the strongest on the defensive end against bullish forwards such as Adrien and Rhode Island forward Will Harris, but he did block his fair share of shots on the day. If Lopez is able to play his sophomore year at Stanford the way he played in this open gym, there is no reason why he should not be a lottery candidate by the time the year is over.

If he can put on the weight, he can be a dangerous player.

Re: **Brooke Lopez sweepstakes**
If you don't count the difference between the top 2 for '07 and the top 2 for '08, '08 is the stronger draft.
