Stanford's games average 64 possessions. I don't know how you think it's possible for Brook to average 10 boards on a slow team next to another 7 footer.
Rebound rates: 20.0% defensive, 11.1% offensive. That's pretty good. Not elite, but pretty good. Robin is 14.2 and 12.5.

Re: Brook Lopez
I've never bought into that whole line of thinking that a player is only a product of his school. Good players come from all kind of schools. Name me a player that ever became a good player from UW before Brandon Roy?

Not good enough to be a Top 10 pick.

Re: Brook Lopez
I don't agree with the 3rd pick, but I don't see how anyone wouldn't consider him in the Top 10..

This is interesting because of some of the players who are rumored to jump, don't come out, where should he be picked? I am not a big fan either, but to say he's not worth a top 10 pick, please give me the 10 guys picked ahead of him.
I'd take him over Kevin Love.

Re: Brook Lopez
His draft spot has a lot to do with teams being hard for a 7 footer. Minnesota especially.

Re: Brook Lopez
if he shoots 47% when he's the biggest guy on the floor every night, i don't see how that projects to him being a good offensive player in the nba when he'll be going up against guys his size all the time.
i wouldn't waste a lottery pick on him. after that, if i needed size i might draft him but not over a guy like roy hibbert.

Re: Brook Lopez
The thing is, like HKF has been saying there is no way you can justify picking 10 to 14 players above him.
