Re: Brandon Rush
Much better shooter entering the league than Pietrus. Probably not as physically strong.

Re: Brandon Rush
I dont get it here's a guy that has had NBA aspirations since his high school days. I guess he thinks he up his stock by staying one more year

Re: Brandon Rush
Maybe people just don't understand that he's just like Kareem. He doesn't have any killer instinct. He's going back to college because scouts just aren't as intrigued about his game. He is too much of let the game come to him kind of player (similar to Lawrence Moten).
People can say that Brandon Roy was like that, but when you watch Roy is a bona fide leader and is incredibly competitive. I can't really say the same for Brandon. Content to get his non-impactful numbers and shoot 3's from the corner.

Re: Brandon Rush
He's gotta do something next year. His stats are remarkably identical to his freshman year = lack of improvement. The perception of him is rapidly becoming similar to that of his brothers, which is not a good thing at all.

Re: Brandon Rush
He's not making the same mistake. HKF was trying to say that they both lack the killer instinct for scouts to be intruiged.

Re: Brandon Rush
Actually in 2001, Kareem was a hot player and looking like a top 10 pick. He came back to school, Missouri struggled to a #12 seed (although they went to the Elite Eight). He went from being a highly regarded shooting guard prospect, to an overrated gunner in one year.
Brandon is already older than 22 and he is going back to school and not improving much. These Rush brothers would be a good book. Talk about a family doomed to mediocrity, although I am sure most people would take all three of their sons having a cup of coffee in the NBA (I know I would).

Re: Brandon Rush
I'm not a big fan of Rush's game. IMHO, it's wise he went back to school to enjoy himself because it would be better than him sitting on the end of a bench before he is forced to play overseas. It looks like he has learned something from his brother's struggles. Stay in school, and enjoy the spotlight while it's there!
