Andrew Ogilvy
7'0, 240lb - C, Vanderbilt (Fr)

U-19 stats:

Vandy-bound Aussie one of top 2 players at U-19 championships; big, skilled, but not a great athlete. He and Shan Foster should be one of the best inside-outside combos in the nation next year.

If that outside-inside connection does work out like planned, I could see him being a first rounder. Kid already has good size weight wise and he's still young.
By the way, in the 9 games for the FIBA U19 where he put up the above numbers he shot a staggering 68.6% from the field and 79.2% from the free throw.
Quite Frankly, I think you're underestimating the power of a big man. I bet he can merrit a first rounder.

Re: Andrew Ogilvy
Ogilvy is pretty good. Vandy has a history of turning out some good college big men who have shooting range. I think Ogilvy is the best of the bunch and probably the best NBA prospect of them all.

Re: Andrew Ogilvy
He's very good, especially for a true freshman. All that international experience and his time in the Australian Institute of Sport obviously paid huge dividends. And he's a guaranteed first-rounder--I find it funny that people were saying 2nd rounder earlier, especially since they were saying it in July. (I sure hope anyone commenting had actually seen him before criticizing him...)
He's more mobile than I thought he would be, but certainly isn't an explosive kind of athlete, especially for the NBA. And he's not 7-0, as listed above. He's generally listed as 6-10. Maybe it depends on whether and how much he improves while in college (and thus when he comes out), but he's going to end up picked between 10-20. He's big, he's skilled and he has proven production in a major conference: that's going to be enough.

Re: Andrew Ogilvy
Been very impressed with him so far. Looks the goods for a mid/late 1st round pick, but could go early due to his size and potential.
Plus he's Aussie, so im bias

Re: Andrew Ogilvy
Ogilvy's stats have been dropping in each game since SEC play started. I think this shows he's not quite ready for the consistent tough play that the SEC offers. He is going to need another year for sure. Without Shan Foster to help next season we can really see what he is all about.

Re: Andrew Ogilvy
Ask him what the main differences in competition between FIBA and College basketball are? and Who are his main influences on how he plays basketball?
