Re: Kosta Koufos
So you're saying that McHale's destined to pick him #1?

Re: Kosta Koufos
Right now i dont see a clear cut #1 like in years where you had Lebron, Oden or a Yao. It might be that there are 3 or 4 guys that could go 1st and it becomes a team need thing. Doubt it would be Koufos but it could.

Re: Kosta Koufos
Wow he's a good player, but #1 pick or even top 10? Come on now...how many of you have actually seen this kid play?
The comp he's playing against at Glenoak isn't proving anything, he's gotta light up the Big 10 to even sniff the draft this year.

He won't have too much competition in the post during this season. The biggest matchups for him are Hansbrough, Speights, DJ White, and the Michigan St. bigs. Too bad we won't see he and Hibbert go at it. Ohio St's regular season schedule should only help affirm the scouts' assertion.

Speights is the real deal, man. That'll be a hell of a matchup. I saw him tonight, albeit against lousy competition, and he's outstanding. Very good hands, and an incredible touch around the basket. He's still got to prove it against real competition, but he has lotto type talent and tools. I can't wait to see him play this season.

I'm very interested to see how Speights can perform with big minutes. Koufos/Speights is probably the 2nd-most anticipated bigs matchup for me, other than the Thabeet/Hibbert sequel.

Re: Kosta Koufos
Yet another frosh stud with a great 1st game - 18pts (8-14FG, 2-3 3FG, 0-1FT), 8reb, 1ast (0to), 1blk in only 18min.

Re: Kosta Koufos
not sure if they guard each other but Koufos went against Jordan yesterday.
Koufos stats was 10 points 5 rebounds shot 4 for 16
Jordan stats were 11 points 8 rebounds shot 4 for 5.

You came away thinking that Jordan had the much better game despite the stats looking somewhat similar. Classic case of a finisher in Jordan who got his points off lobs and putbacks and the finesse player in Koufos who was ice cold in the second half and shot 4 for 16. Both are going to be drafted real high at some point and last nights game pointed out things that both need to work on.

Re: Kosta Koufos
Jordan has no true big man offensive skills. Will he be able to finish like that in the pros (Not including dunks)?

I think it's NBAdraft.net that has him going pretty high, i would agree with you but guys get picked high based on size and athletecism and he seems to have plenty of that.
