Joey Dorsey
Joey Dorsey is an old man for college basketball as a 24 year old Senior. He appears to be strong and quick enough to guard both the PF and C positions in the NBA, but he will be a complete liability on offense.
Are his rebounding and defensive skills enough to get him drafted in the second round at his old age? Or will the influx of youngsters and international players leave him as an undrafted FA?
Personally, I think it might be better for him to go undrafted so that he can pick the team he has the best shot of making the roster.

Re: Joey Dorsey
He should just become a GOON because his rebounding and defense isn't THAT impressive for a guy that old.

Re: Joey Dorsey
I can see him warming up someones bench but that's about it. I've seen mock drafts that have him going in the early second, don't see that happening.

Re: Joey Dorsey
A couple of teams will be intrigued with him because of team success (see Chris Richard), I think he is going to get picked in the mid or late second round. You know what you are getting, but that is not enough to be in the league for very long.

Re: Joey Dorsey
Isiah might be the only GM to take him in the first round. His rebounding and steal/block numbers are very good, but not crazy for a 24 y/o. He's NBA fool's gold, IMO.

Exactly what MIN did last year with Corey Brewer and Richard; a terribly misguided approach. Not to say that winning in college should have zero input regarding prospect evaluation, but if a guy doesn't project highly in the league, he doesn't project highly in the league. It shouldn't matter if his team was undefeated every year.

Going on that basis, he is at least as impressive as the goons available in the D League.

Re: Joey Dorsey
I think Corey Brewer was a much better prospect than Dorsey though. Brewer has alot of tools and he's young. He can play solid defense and can still get in the gym and put on weight. He will be at the very least a great bench player, but his defense should improve leading him to see plenty of time, especially on that bad of a team.

Re: Joey Dorsey
He was comparing Chris Richard to Joe Dorsey

Re: Joey Dorsey
Look, he's a fine rebounder, but come on. I can find 50 of these guys out of the league working at Walmart.
