Brandon Jennings
6'1" 170 PG (High School Class of 2008)
Committed to play for Arizona
NBAdraft.net profile:
http://www.nbadraft.net/admincp/prof...njennings.html
Draftexpress.com profile:
http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...Jennings-1114/
Strengths: Ball-Handling, Passing, PG Skills, Athletic Ability
Weaknesses: Streaky Shooter, Slightly on the small side
Overview: Will start from day one for Lute Olsen at Arizona. Is an extraordinary PG talent. His ball-handling, passing, and flashy play will leave many staying up late to watch his games on the west coast. He needs to develop consistency with his jumper but when that is falling there won't be anyone in college basketball who will stop him. His size will always be a concern but he a college weightroom will do him some good that's for sure. Will be a top 10 pick next summer.

Re: Brandon Jennings
I'm not sure what to make of him yet. He is a great talent, but his approach to the game isn't always the one you would like to see from a potential Top 5-10 pick. However, I'm definitely looking forward to what he can do at Arizona, it's almost a given that he will have some success if you look at their history.

Yeah he will be fine in college. He would be dynamite in Mike D'antoni's system or a similar system. His speed, passing, and ball-handling would be great in that offense.

brandon Jennings considering playing in Europe instead of college
Quote:
Brandon Jennings, who signed a letter of intent to play at Arizona, is looking at the unprecedented option of playing overseas next season to get ready for the 2009 NBA draft if he's not eligible to play for the Wildcats next season.

He will play for about 15 years, and win 14 titles, 12 MVP's and put up stats that relative to his era are so enormously dominant that the league will attempt to alter the rules to help create more parity in the NBA, but it won't be possible. A player so utterly dominant that the game will forever be changed.

Re: brandon Jennings considering playing in Europe instead of college
There are at least two threads going on with this topic being addressed. Mods might want to move it to either the B. Jennings prospect profile or the one in the International forum.

Good for him, but he probably won't get a contract in Euro without having a good agent, but I guess its worth it, even if its makes him in-eligable to play in the NCAA.

I'm sure he'd have no trouble getting a good agent if he decides that's the route he wants to take. After all, I don't recall Kevin Garnett, Kobe Bryant, Jermaine O'Neal, Tracy McGrady, etc., having any trouble getting themselves agents.

If he decided to go to Europe his cell phone would be exploding due to the interest.

Yeah I don't have as good of a grasp of the competition over there as I think I do but I have a feeling he would probably dominate over there.
