How do you like working for Halliburton by the way? I know alot of the gas guys here and heard they are hiring in my location. Very tempting for me. I know the hours suck here but at least I'd be making more than min wage.

Movie was awful. Tucker Max is all about charisma and the film had none. Book is legendary but you can basically read it all on his website for free.

Lots of paperwork but its good. Halliburtons a big company, doubt we'd be in the same part of the company. As far as the pay goes, it should be decent. I know they pay Americans way less than the Canadians in my job, but I'm not sure if that's the same for everywhere in the company or not.

Nope. It's different up here than in the states. You need a **** load of safety training before you can step foot on a rig. First aid, H2S as well as others. I tried taking my wife once only to have her stuck off location about 1 mile from the rig in a safety checkpoint trailer for 8 hours because she wasn't allowed on location.

Not like you're missing much though, so I wouldn't worry your pretty little head about it.

Nope, never hit in the face by chains. R-Star isn't a rig worker so I don't do any of the physical stuff out here, just chemical checks and math.

No one throws chain up here though, that's ****ing bush league 80's ****. As I've said before, all our old rigs that don't pass inspection get sent down to the states with a fresh coat of paint and you guys use them. **** like spinning chain was phased out up here a long time ago.
