Mike Kahn's Preseason Player Rankings for the Kings
Point Guards
Quote:
8. Mike Bibby, Sacramento Kings: Some might believe he should be higher in this ranking, but defensive shortcomings and unpredictability in big games linger.
Shooting Guards
Quote:
Also receiving consideration: Doug Christie, Sacramento Kings; Bonzi Wells, Memphis Grizzlies; Joe Johnson, Phoenix Suns; Jason Richardson, Golden State Warriors; Stephen Jackson, Indiana Pacers; Quentin Richardson, Phoenix Suns; Larry Hughes, Washington Wizards; Eddie Jones, Miami Heat; Allan Houston, New York Knicks; Derek Anderson, Portland Trail Blazers.
Small Forwards
Quote:
3. Peja Stojakvoic, Sacramento Kings: The best pure shooter in the game and a much stronger rebounder/defender than people think, but he has struggled in the postseason.
Power Forwards
Quote:
6. Chris Webber, Sacramento Kings: He'd better have a great year considering all of his mouthing off, but we don't know if he's still got it.
Centers
Quote:
3. Brad Miller, Sacramento Kings: He has surprising shooting range, great passing ability and is a good rebounder; durability is the big question.

yeah, #3-10 on the point guards list is a crap shoot, you could mix up the list from 3-10 and it would look some what legit to me no matter what. Nash is at 10 but very easily could be at 5 or 6 in my mind. Same for Chauncey, he would look in place at 8 or 9.

Mike Kahn's Top 50 players
Quote:
14. Peja Stojakovic, Sacramento Kings: He is the best pure shooter in the game and a better rebounder than people think, but his postseasons need to improve.
Quote:
19. Chris Webber, Sacramento Kings: His numbers were up and down as he lumbered around after knee surgery. His mouth, again, has him in trouble. This is a key season for him to prove he's still a superstar.
Quote:
31. Mike Bibby, Sacramento Kings: Some might believe he should be ranked higher. It's just hard to tell with all of the Kings, who was most disappointing as they failed to get to the conference finals again.
Quote:
37. Brad Miller, Sacramento Kings: Once again, Miller was exceptional until the All-Star break, then his body went into revolt. They need him for the full season.
