no, but seriously, the lakers are mess..they got a horrible team for Shaq just because of the Size of Brian Grants contracts...

basically if I was kupchek I would ..


1) give Butler an extension, he works well with Kobe

2) find the PG that kobe needs which would be someone like Mike James.. can defend and shoot off the ball... I can't believe the lakers didn't go after him, what a dumb move. Atkins is much more useful off the bench. Since James is not aviable I would recommend trying to sign Watson with the MLE

3) Trade Lamar ODom for someone who can rebound and be effective W/O the ball.. The deal I would do would most likely be Odom to NY for Kurt Thomas + 2 picks

Kurt thomas is a underated defender that can hit the mid range J and rebound..exactly what Kobe needs. + he can play C so they can start Mihm but only have him play about 20 mins a game...

4) trade 3 of your draft picks to the bobcats for Keith Bogans and there first rounder and draft Bogut who will eventually be that low post scorer

so your lineup would be

PG ) Watson / Atkins
SG) Kobe / Bogans
SF) Butler / Jones
PF) Thomas / Grant
C) Mihm / Bogut
