For the most part in the past few seasons, Petrie was trying to make a pick that would put a team in competition over the top. That was not an easy thing. When he is left to making the best pick, he does very well i think.

Who cares. He's good at everything else a GM needs to be good at.

He has picks always near the end of the draft. Do you expect an all star from the 23rd pick this year?

If he was messing up with the 1st pick in the draft, it would matter a lot more. I can deal with missing at 23.
