Garcia is a solid pick for the Kings and his long arms and tenacity will be a welcome addition to the team. Garcia is a team player who will fit in perfectly on the team-oriented Kings. Garcia is also an offensive threat who can get hot from the field and take over a game.

We're big fans of Francisco Garcia and love the Kings' selection. At their spot in the first round they took the best player available and Garcia is a legit NBA player who can step in and play immediately. The Kings front office is always on top of things.

Sacramento



The Kings selected a nice complement to Peja Stojakovic in Francisco Garcia, giving them a player to plug into their system of run and gun. Garcia is a fiery competitor who can handle the ball and is ready to contribute immediately, especially if he irons out his streakiness. Given where it was selecting (No. 23), Sacramento did a nice job obtaining a sure thing. Grade: B-plus.

Sacramento Kings Picks: Francisco Garcia (23) GM Geoff Petrie likes versatile wing men who can shoot the deep ball, and Garcia can stroke it. He also comes from a winning program at Louisville, which is a plus. But the Kings already have Peja Stojakovic, so Garcia is not likely to play much right away. Andriuskevicius and Chris Taft could someday prove to be studs, but Petrie knows enough to go for the best player available. B

I think we were graded fairly but, I dont understand this because I dont think the Kings drafted him to play behind Peja instead of playing sg.

ESPN wasnt too fond of the pick, saying that the kings drafted the same type of player last year in kevin martin. I dont remember the grade offhand, though
