Kings eye Nuggets' Nene!

/

Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe would not comment directly on a possible sign-and-trade deal with the Kings for shooting guard Cuttino Mobley. But he did say Wednesday he is not shopping the power forward.

Will Nene play for Kings next season?

Re: Kings eye Nuggets' Nene!

A sign and trade for Nene would be SHWEET. Sac desperatly need athleticism in their frontline.
But this is NO WAY for Denver to do this trade... Nene has the potential to be a superstar

Re: Kings eye Nuggets' Nene!

Everyone seems to be high on Nene but me. He's a nice player, don't get me wrong, and the Nugs would be smart to keep him to preserve their frontcourt depth and try for Mobley with their MLE, but he wouldn't bring the shotblocking the Kings desperately need, he scores off of drives mostly, which Kenny Thomas is already very good at, doesn't rebound that well, doesn't score inside that much, isn't a very good passer or ball handler like the Kings like their bigs to be.

If Kiki did happen to deside he would trade him for Mobley, I, for one, would be hoping Petrie would move him again before the beginning of the season for a piece that would be a better fit. But I don't think Kiki will deal him in the first place.

Re: Kings eye Nuggets' Nene!

I think the reason everyone wants Nene is because the Kings are in desperate need of athleticism. I guess nobody thought of their need for shot-blocking. If only Petrie could acquire Dalembert..
