What should the Kings do at SG?

The Kings have the option of signing someone with their MLE to start at SG or having either Kevin Martin or Francisco Garcia start. What do you think they should do? They have a few different options.

They could go after a pure scorer like Ronald Murray, Bonzi Wells or Willie Green. They could go for a shooter, such as Juan Dixon or Marko Jaric. Another option would be signing a guy to a short-term deal and have him fill in for a year before Martin or Garcia could take over, like Kerry Kittles, Jon Barry. Finally, there will likely be a crop of veterans who get cut from their teams because of the Allan Houston Rule. These guys are Allan Houston, Michael Finley and Jalen Rose.

What do you want the Kings to do?

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

Id like for the Kings to savy vetran or a young shooter such as Juan or Marko. But looking at our roster Fransico is fully capable of playing sg and Martin is right there but lacks experince and is not as polished as Cisco.

PG - Bibby/Bjax
SG - Marko/Cisco/Martin
SF - Peja/Cisco/
PF - Kenny/Darius
C - Brad/Skinner

-----OR------

PG - Bibby/Bjax
SG - Finley/Cisco/Martin
SF - Peja/Cisco/
PF - Kenny/Darius
C - Brad/Skinner

Roster one we get a shooter that compliments the Kings and has yet to reach his prime, however lacks expirence. And roster 2 we get a savy vetran thats past his prime but has alot of expirence and can contribute in more ways then one for the Kings.

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

Bases on summer league, Martin looks way more ready that Garcia, of course Lebron did poorly in sl I guess...

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

I wouldn't mind Jaric, Kittles, or Finley. These guys would start this year, but it wouldn't be that big of a deal when/if Kevin Martin or Garcia took over the reins in the future.

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

Sign a veteran and groom Francisco Garcia and/or Kevin Martin until one of them is ready.

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

have we all forgotten about maurice evans? he isnt gone yet. he needs to be the starter next year with martin and garcia backing him up. also martin and garcia are big enough to back up peja. so heres the roster.........

bibby/bj/house
evans/martin/garcia
peja/barnes
thomas/skinner
miller/ostertag

i didnt put williamson on there because we need to get rid of him, but what do you think of that lineup? wouldnt sound too bad once they get a training camp in and some chemistry. (I also put barnes on there because he stated that he desperately wants to play for the kings and you cant leave someone with that much talent hanging out to dry.)

Re: What should the Kings do at SG?

I'd start Martin personally, but I think they made a mistake not bringing Cuttino Mobley back.
