Pretty good for a first try
I don't want to criticize you much, but I will say that it was obviously written from the Kings' point of view. You neglected to mention that the officiating in game 5 seemed to favor the Kings. You described the Lakers' celebration after the win in game 7 as "cocky." I've never seen a cocky celebration after a win to put a team into a championship. Overall, the whole thing was from one point of view. I like that . I don't necessarily agree with it, but it's good.

When I say "cocky" I mean people like Rick Fox saying "We knew we would win the whole time." "It was never in doubt." I think that's a bit cocky.
This editorial isn't supposed to be written for Lakers fans. It is supposed to be biased towards a Kings point of view. That was intentional. I welcome criticism and I appreciate yours. That is the only way I can get better. Thanks for the praise as well.

Thank you very much. I'm glad a Lakers fan can put aside the personal issue and analyze my article for what it is: A biased acount of the WCF, from a Kings Fans standpoint.
I have taken into account the things all of you have said. It is greatly appreciated....

Man this article was a complete drawn out typical loser mantra, the refs stole this,it wasn't earned , the sounds losing teams and their fans make are often predictable and pathetic give the Lakers their credit they didn't just win their first title this was their third straight,so all the luck of the draw crap is ridiculous ,it's the reason Tiger Woods seems to win all the close tournaments he musta had luck on his side too.Lets, face it champions find a way to win under any circumstances and losers make excuses,I could quote CWebb but why bother,do you notice anything about Phil Jackson coached teams they always seem to pull out close games not sometimes but all the time ,so better luck next year or will you be like the Blazers who after pushing the Lakers to the limit cried their way down the playoff totem pole never to be heard from again.
And oh about the article You did a great job it had the affect that a good article should have it illicited some serious emotion ,although I tottally disagree with it's content I'll read whatever you write,so I look forward to arguing about further articles with you ,Peace be unto you

So the majority opinion is that it is a good article, but all Lakers fans disagree with it. I'm not sure if you, jazzy, are a Lakers fan, but these are just my opinions. I didn't take anything away from the Lakers. I even said that the Kings blew it themselves.
Thanks for the opinions though...

Ya thats funny you didnt mention game 5 or kobes food poisioning in sacremento.I wonder what would have been the outcome if kobe never got ill. I bet and I bet fans would agree if kobe never got ill for two games lakers would have took it in 5 or 6.A nice one sided article though.

his writing's really good. i still can't get over the opening of the article:

Crack! That was the sound of Mike Bibby's nose popping after he received a quick elbow from Kobe Bryant at the end of game 6 of the Western Conference Finals. No, this wasn't an accident and no, this wasn't your typical referee no call. This was about man-hood.
|
that word "crack" did such a good dramatic effect. but anyways, kc's writing skills are really good, and just because he's biased does not mean that he should feel discouraged. truthfully, there aren't many writers out there who aren't biased. even things that you read in the paper day by day are biased. and sports articles are often the most biased ones of all. obviously, if you're writing for a certain team, you're going to be on that team's side. otherwise, the fans just won't want to read it.

Thanks for defending me Bizzy. Hey, this wasn't written for Lakers fans. It wasn't meant for you to get happy over and like. beautifulkobe, I challenge you to write an article for this site. Until you can put your money where your mouth is, your opinion is invalid....
For any others waiting to comment:
This is a bias article written for Kings fans to read. It isn't for Lakers fans to enjoy. Thanks....

No kidding, that's why you didn't say anything about the horrible officiating that totally favored the Kings in Game 5.

Thanks for responding to my article as a whole instead of just making one flip comment about something that has little importance in the grand scheme of things(my article).
I challenge you to write a better one.....
