5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
The Kings are the only team in the league without a road win.

Re: 5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
Kings stay close, but Celtics pull away in 4th
Quote:
The Kings led 45-44 at halftime, minimizing Garnett's effectiveness with scrappy play down low and plenty of help defense while Boston misfired on 18 of 20 three-pointers. They only trailed by four after three quarters (68-64), as a late three-pointer from former Kings guard Eddie House sparked the surge that would bring the expected ending.
Between quarters, the Jumbotron featured Celtics rookie forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis, who started at power forward and pushed Garnett to the center spot because of a toe injury to center Kendrick Perkins. The video version of Davis screamed for the sellout crowd of 18,624 to "stand up," and they obliged.
The Celtics never let up, starting the quarter with an 11-2 run. Davis made up for an off-night for Garnett (11 points, six rebounds), scoring 16 points and grabbing nine rebounds. Pierce was the only Celtics player to score 20-plus points, finishing with 26 on 7-of-15 shooting.
Kings small forward Beno Udrih and small forward Ron Artest had a team-high-tying 16 points, but Artest hit just 7 of 19 shots.

Re: 5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
Kings trying to get it together on the road
Today's game: Kings (8-13) at Philadelphia (9-13)
Quote:
Tipoff: 4 p.m.
Where: Wachovia Center
TV: CSN
Radio: 1140
Head to head: A run of nine consecutive Kings wins over the 76ers ended Jan. 3, 2006, with a Philadelphia victory at Arco Arena. The 76ers have now won three of the last four games against Sacramento.
76ers update: On the surface, the 76ers have all the makings of the Kings' first victim on the road. Yet they've turned it around recently, winning four consecutive games against New York (twice), Houston and Minnesota.
76ers injuries: F-C Herbert Hill (torn meniscus, out).
Kings injuries: PG Mike Bibby (torn ligament, left thumb, out); SG Kevin Martin (strained right groin, out); PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (right knee surgery, out).
Probable starting lineups

52 Brad Miller C

Kings beat 76ers, claim first road victory
Quote:
Misery loves company, and the Kings certainly didn't want to be alone in this room.
With an 0-9 road record that matched two other Kings teams for the franchise's worst start to a season away from home, they finally broke through with a 109-99 win over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wachovia Center on Friday night.
Forward Mikki Moore tied his career high with 24 points, scoring 10 in a third quarter in which the Kings found rare separation in an opponent's gym as they turned a 51-51 tie at halftime into an 81-54 third quarter lead. Moore finished his evening in fitting form, dunking over 76ers small forward Kyle Korver with 1:12 remaining and hitting the free throw for a 103-91 lead.
While Moore hit 10 of 11 shots, even his outing couldn't match that of Brad Miller. The Kings center had 25 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. Swingman John Salmons, a Philadelphia native who spent his first four seasons with the Sixers, added 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting. The Kings have three games remaining on their five-game East Coast road trip, next playing on Saturday at Washington.

Re: 5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
Tonight's game: Kings (9-13) at Washington (12-10)
Quote:
Tipoff: 4 p.m.
Where: Verizon Center
TV: 10
Radio: KHTK (1140 AM)
Head to head: The Wizards have won the last four matchups with the Kings. The last meeting was by far the most memorable, as the Kings thought they had sent the Feb. 22 road game to overtime on a John Salmons three-pointer at the buzzer. They rushed the floor in celebration, only to have officials decide following a review that the shot was released too late, giving the Wizards a 109-106 win.
Wizards update: The Wizards are actually playing better without Gilbert Arenas than they were with him. They are 9-5 since their star guard was lost for the season with a knee injury and subsequent surgery, having won five of their last six games.
Wizards injuries: PG Gilbert Arenas (knee surgery, out); C Oleksiy Pecherov (hairline fracture, right ankle, out); F/C Etan Thomas (heart surgery, out).
Kings injuries: PG Mike Bibby (torn ligament, left thumb, out); SG Kevin Martin (strained right groin, out); PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (right knee surgery, out).
PROBABLE STARTERS

Re: 5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
1-2 so far.
The Game Plan: Kings (9-14) at New Jersey (10-14)
Quote:
Tipoff: 4:30 p.m.
Where: Izod Center, East Rutherford, N.J.
TV/Radio: CSN; KHTK (1140 AM)
Head to head: The Kings have won 10 of the past 14 meetings, although the Nets had the last laugh with a 109-96 win in New Jersey on Feb. 23. The climate in the Garden State wasn't all that different then, with trade rumors swirling around Jason Kidd and Vince Carter. Ten months later, the Nets reportedly are again taking offers for Kidd rather than giving him an extension.
Nets update: The situation isn't nearly as negative as that of the nearby Knicks, but the Nets also are mired in quite a soap opera. The losing hasn't helped, as they have dropped five of their past six games.
Nets injuries: SF Bostjan Nachbar (right ankle sprain, questionable); F/C Nenad Krstic (left knee rehab, out); PG Marcus Williams (right foot surgery, out).
Kings injuries: PG Mike Bibby (torn left thumb ligament, out); SG Kevin Martin (strained right groin, out); PF Shareef Abdur-Rahim (right knee surgery, out).
Probable starters
Kings
19 Beno Udrih PG
15 John Salmons SG
93 Ron Artest SF
33 Mikki Moore PF
52 Brad Miller C
Nets
5 Jason Kidd PG
15 Vince Carter SG
24 Richard Jefferson SF
30 Malik Allen PF
35 Jason Collins C

Re: 5 Game Road Trip: Kings @ Boston, Philly, Washington, New Jersey, & Milwaukee.
Salmons scores career-high 31 points in Kings' win over Nets
Quote:
- John Salmons scored a career-high 31 points and passed to teammate Francisco Garcia for a decisive 3-pointer to lead the Sacramento Kings to a 106-101 victory over the slumping New Jersey Nets on Tuesday night.
Brad Miller added 23 points and Ron Artest had 20 for the Kings, who got their second road win of the season. Their first came last Friday at Philadelphia.
