I read this on Insider before I came on hear this morning. I don't have a real clue who it is or why they would be so stupid. Whoever it is I hope the get caught and punished for it, they might even get a tought punsihement then the T-Wolves since they should have known that this was wrong.

Can anyone come up with a likely culprit? You gotta think of Free Agents who walked recently. I'm thinking, MIAMI!?! Jim Jackson, Rod Strickland, maybe? Can anyone else think of someone?

Here are the offseason signings for this year (excluding rookie contract extensions)

-The Hornets re-signed Robert Traylor to a 2-year, $1.6 million contract. The second season is a team option worth $800K.

-The Bulls signed Donyell Marshall to a 3-year, $13.8 million contract.

-The Jazz signed Matt Harpring to a 4-year, $18.5 million contract.

-The Kings re-signed Mike Bibby to a 7-year, $80.5 million contract.

-The Nets signed Rodney Rogers to a 3-year, $9.4 million contract. Rogers can opt out after the second year.

-The Kings signed Keon Clark to a 2-year, $9.5 million contract. The second year is a player option.

-The Trail Blazers signed Jeff McInnis to a 3-year contract.

-The Knicks signed Michael Doleac to a 3-year, $5.3 mil contract.

-The Heat re-signed Vladimir Stepania to a 1-year, $1.4 million contract.

-The Timberwolves signed Troy Hudson to a 3-year contract with a player option for the third year.

2001 signings (exluded rookie contract extensions and some minor deals with minor players)

-Mark Bryant was signed to a 2-year, $2.1 million contract by the Spurs.

-Danny Ferry was signed to a 2-year, $2.1 million contract by the Spurs.

-Calvin Booth signed a 6-year, $34 million contract with the Trail Blazers. Because the base salary is greater than the Early-Bird Exception, Dallas is unable to match the offer.

-Stephen Jackson signed a 2-year, $1.3 million contract with the Spurs. The second season is a player option.

-Charles Smith signed a 2-year, $1.2 million contract with the Spurs. The second season may be a team option.

-Felipe Lopez signed a 2-year, $1.2 million contract with the Timberwolves. The second season is a player option.

-Maurice Taylor (Hou) signed a 6-year, $48.8 million contract with the Rockets.

-Shawn Bradley (Dal) signed a 7-year contract worth $35million ($40 million with incentives) with the Mavericks.

-Evsn Eschmeyer (Dal) signed a 6-year, $20.4 million offer sheet with the Mavericks. The Nets will have 15 days to match the offer and retain Eschmeyer.

-Bryant Stith (Cle) signed a 2-year, $2.7 million contract with the Cavaliers.

-Matt Bullard (Cha) signed a 3 year, $4.4 million contract with the Hornets. The third season is a team option worth $1.6 million.

Now who are the top candidates?

Donyell Marshall? Signed a pretty short and cheap deal for what you would expect.

Rodney Rogers? Same for Marshall and didn't resign with the Celtics.

Keon Clark? Could Sacramento be desperate enough to get by the Lakers that they are dumb enough to do this? Remember Corliss Williamson?

Matt Harpring? Who would want to play in Utah?

I'd say rogers is a pretty good call, but why would he want to bring it up. He has a good contract on a winner now.
Who walked and then didn't get resigned ever? That's why I was thinking Rod, he's probably pissed to go into the West on (no offense) a not that great team. Jim Jackson was good too because he was only signed recently and the rumor could be from when he was stewing about Greece.
But Keon Clark? damn the Kings would have to be real dumb to do that twice, and it's also doubtful since they gave him the full mid, he wouldn't have gotten more else where.
Matt Harpring, it doesn't feel true.
I could see Donyell being real pissed and wanting some vengance, it sounded like there was some bad blood in Utah over the summer. That seems like the ticket. Hopefully it's just not true, cause it'd be a shame to watch another team go through what Minny's been dealing with these last few years.

Ummm the agent is making noise , not the player.

A dumped agent that wants his share of money.

If I had to call it, it would be Houston or the Nets.

I dont have a reason for the Rockets its just that, who would honestly want Marice Taylor.

I always flet something was fishy with the Nets signing of Rodney Rogers because the sixers and Cletics both were in a position to overpay him.

If it were the Nets, can someone check into if Rogers had changed agents recently?

I know Rogers took less money to go to the Nets.
