GS may be without an Arena(s) next year because they didn't sign him to a 3rd year.

If GS had traded Gilbert to a team with a similar cap situation (not much cap room) would that team be in the same situation(able to offer the MLE but not more) or could they offer more because they traded for GA instead of drafting him?

Along with a player you trade his "Bird status", so a team in a similar cap situation as GSW would not be able to offer Arenas more than the MLE.
