Qualifying Offer Players

I've read the FAQ's and am still . Sorry.

There are alot of players who are due for new contracts that are currently on their rookie contracts. I'm interested in the "tradeability" of these players.

If they simply accept the QO(qualifying offer) they can't be traded(see the Kandi man) but become unrestricted FA's the next year. No answers needed for this.

1. Can they be traded before they come to terms with their current team and deal with their new team?

2. If they agree to a new deal, when does the new deal begin?
Is it immediately or after 1 year at the QO price? If it begins immediately then many of these players will be BYC and not worth discussing in trade proposals.

Thank you.

Carl English. The 6-6 SG from Hawaii via Newfoundland, Canada is every bit as good as a Reece Gaines. Yep, you read that right.
English not drafted, hopes for tryout.
