This list isn't very representative of things, since guys contract's increase every year. Example, by the end of his contract, Allan Houston will be making over $20 million dollars. The list should really be organized by total contract value, like 7 years, $100 million.

I hope someone wanting to clear some space offers the Nets some nice package of picks, and decent / young players for him.
Even more so, I think they gotta trade him this year, because with the expansion draft, he might get picked and get alot of talent in return for a 1 year - expiring contract.

Man Rod Thorn is a genius. Trading for Mutombo was brillant. He only has two years left on his contract and I see them exposing him in the expansion draft, because The Nets have shown they don't need him. Either way his salary comes off the books and they have enough to sign Kenyon Martin and Richard Jefferson to extensions or he leaves early and they have the cap room to play with. What a great trade.

yep, i love defining "great trades" by considering all the various contracts...and salary cap/luxury tax implications... and other collective bargaining agreement jargon.
i love the new nba. i feel like i'm in financial accounting. what a great feeling.
give me more.

Me too ballocks, I love the NBA of the new Millenium, one where a trade is measured by how much money it saves a team or will free in cap space, as to who or how good the player is and how he will improve the team. I love the NMA, National Money Assosciation, where Basketball is really just a side issue to the the real game, its the new age cheerleaders.
