Golden State in Great Peril!

The Golden State Warriors need to build through the draft.

I was reviewing each team's salary commitments and I realized the the Warriors have nearly $60 mil. committed already for the 08/09 season.

That wouldn't be terrible if it weren't for the circumstances related to the players under contract. Three out of the 5 players being paid are plagued by injury. Baron Davis has always been on and off the IL. Troy Murphy hasn't had much success avoiding injury during his first couple of seasons either. Jason Richardson has now demonstrated his inability to stay active and Adonal Foyle is a player that doesn't need a reason to be inactive. That leaves us with Mike Dunleavy Jr. Well...

I wish the Warriors the best of luck in their attempts to hold on to Mickael Pietrus, Andris Biedrins, Matt Barnes and Monta Ellis. The bottom line is that they're facing an enormous challenge. They better win now or win the lottery.

Al Harrington is a slight upgrade.

Thumbs up Re: Golden State in Great Peril!

i think with Jackson, Harrington and that Sarunas guy. they can play decent that guy can play the 1 or 2.

i mean you can go with a small fast line-up of...

Harrington
Jackson
Richardson
Davis
Ellis

Harrington
Jackson
Richardson
Davis
Sarunas

have Pietrus and Ellis come off the bench...either way thats a young electric team. they just need to be coached right and try a new style.

Re: Golden State in Great Peril!

If you're depending on Jesikevicius to play major minutes in your lineup you're setting yourself up for failure.
