Anthony Mason, who is an overpaid player on a rebuilding team, is having his contract "terminated." Could some please clarify how the Bucks can do this?

Unless he somehow has violated the terms of the contract, they cannot void the contract. It is possible that they may be able to get Mason to agree to a buyout of the contract, which would result in Mason getting most but not all of the money in the contract.

yes they are setting up a buyout of I believe 10 million which is good for both parties. Now they won't have Anthony messing their chemistry up while they are growing as a team and losing.

They cant terminate his contract. The bucks are a very young team now and can not afford to lose there veteran players like that.

I am beginning not to like your post at all. Bucks have some good young talent they arent a good young team and Mason was just a fat boulder in the lane that didnt do much. They replaced him with Joes Smith anyhow. The only key vet is Kukoc.

If you knew anything you would know that last year Mason was the team captain.

Mason is useless, if by Desmond Mason as team captain this year you my be correct but Anthony Mason was useless to the team.
