Manu: Bench or Starter
wherer do you want to see manu playing from, the bench or as a starter.
The argument for him starting is obviously he is bettter than finley or barry, the 2 guys that would take his starting place. But barry and finley are better if they start the game, while with manu it doesnt matter. he can come of the bench and still play at 100%, providing enery and offense. Being able to bring such a high energy guy off the bench has helped pop in the past. He tends to bench him in the playoffs.
where do you want see manu during the season? would you move him come playoff time?

Re: Manu: Bench or Starter
We had a very similar discussiona couple years ago when talk broke out about Manu finaly getting a starting position. I was strongly against it, saying the same thing you are now about how he brings a great spark off the bench, but now I'm thinking the other way. Then again, Barry has been pretty hot lately and deserves some more responsibilty. If not a starting position, atleast some more play time.

Re: Manu: Bench or Starter
on tnt they mentioned it last night. pop asked manu if he thought he should start or play off the bench and manu said it wouldnt matter because come the postseason, he would end up getting benched anyways

Re: Manu: Bench or Starter
i like manu as a bench player. he seems to be more energetic when he comes off the bench. when hes a starter, he gets injured alot, and it seems like hes past his prime because he sometimes goes unnoticed. but he does definitely deserve to start
im not a racist, thats whats so insane about this

Re: Manu: Bench or Starter
Manu's my favorite player and I think he deserves to start but I really do like him coming from the bench. The thing I like about him coming off the bench is that Manu gets to do more with the ball and will create for others while he's on the court. He plays really well with Barry, Beno, and Elson. When he starts, the ball usually is in Tim or Tony's hand and Manu pretty much never really does much then. Also it's nice to have one of our Big 3 out there on the court at all times and this allows us to do it. Believe me I didn't like the first time Pop benched him but now I think it works well.

Re: Manu: Bench or Starter
Manu should start every game. We need his firepower up front early. Have you seen how many 3's he has hit in the first quarter these past few games? Helps us demoralize a team early. I think the best players should always start the game.
